Just wondering what's the difference in pronunciation between þ and ð in Icelandic. It seems they both have a "th" sound in English, like in 'the' or 'thick'.

Ok.... well i have had this problem for like 4 yrs.... I'm thirteen now and ever since i have been growing up... teens have been making fun of me (preferibbly guys) and now... it feels like i have been scarred for life bc i made a new friend and he is older than i am and i always get depressed or have anxiety attacks when he talks to my bestfriend (who is his girlfriend) i dont know how to overcome this. For instance, when he tells my bestfriend that they need to talk in private then i totally break down and start having cold chills and I get depressed and i dont know what happens. What should i do to overcome this bc when my new friend says he wants to talk in private to my bestfriend im always worried that they r talking about me.... he also tells me that im a great friend and we are practically brothers. I want to be his friend but i dont what to do because i always get depressed/anxiety attacks around him...Please help!

Anyways, I am 25, she's about 50 something. I had bought my first car in April...a G35 coupe, and I bought a cross to put in my car (she works at People's The Diamond Store). She told me to come by the next day and she'll give me a vail of holy water as well to sprinkle on my car.

In September, a driver did a hit and run. My car was entirely destroyed....I collided with a semi truck. The police can't catch them...though they've tried. My roof was mostly sliced off, the passenger side was crushed, so was the back. Where I was sitting though....I didn't even have a scratch....I just opened my car door and walked out. The police, ambulance all said I should've been decapitated. Only 6 inches of the roof was intact...where I was sitting. I've already thanked her, but maybe I should get a belated Xmas present?

Anyways...I don't even know her name....but I feel I should get her something....but what? What do you suggest?

we know that opposite magnetic poles will repel each other .... since our earth is a big magnet , isnt it possible for magnet to be repelled from the surface of earth and therefore float on the air ?
if we can control the strength of the magnet , arent we able to use it to float from the surface of earth ?

I got really burned out over the last couple of years at work. Long story. In August I stopped working and decided to take a year off. Im not really wanting to do anything much, just rest. My days are spent watching dvd's and using the computer, surfing the net, and playing games. My question is, do you think its ok to do this? Am I doing myself any harm by living a totally unstructured life? what are your thoughts on the idea of a year spent doing 'nothing'?

I know there were constitiutional freedoms in Iraq for them yrs ago. And now there are in the latest Iraqi Constitution. But so many have been martyred now & many evacuated.
So? Now not to many Indigenious Iraqi Christians in Iraq left.
