where did this come from that if your left ear pierced your straight and right ear your gay

Umm very good question, I have no idea where it came from either but I got multiple piercing in both ears. I think a guy with piercing is hot...I think guys that dare to pierce their ears are really daring, cuz i know guys who want to pierce their ears but are scared of what people might say. I don't think a guy with pierced ears are gay or the saying that tells you if ur gay or straight because of which ear's pierce.

I believe this was a trend in the 80's that Hollywood started with over the top actors like Robert Downy Jr. playing in less Than Zero as a junkie bisexual that had an ear ring like that.
