and a rock?

1 the hard, solid, nonmetallic mineral matter of which rock is made

I really am looking for a geological answer to this. I am understanding that a stone is the mineral that makes up a rock. Yet a thesaurus gives a synonym for stone the word "rock." So are they the same. Or is it because one makes up the other.

I've got my own reasons for why this is important to me, but it is, so I was looking for a scientific clarification.

I'm 16, and going on a long car trip with a 9, 6, and 4yr old. Any ideas of things to keep them busy?

when i went skiing last year when we were renting out our boots and skis they told us to fill out a form such as height ,WEIGHT ect,,ect what does your weight have to do with skiing and what does your height have to do with it

Expelled is a movie starring Ben Stein about scientists who share scientific data that suggests the theory of evolution and a naturalistic beginning to the universe is impossible. This has actually been happening a lot, as overwhelming evidence is now pointing away from an atheistic, naturalistic world-view to a theistic world-view.

When the theory of evolution and all other naturalistic explanations for the origins of the universe, life, and mankind swept through the scientific community last century, public opinion staunchly opposed it. But in the last 50 years, public opinion has finally “caught” up.

But ironically, in the past 20 years, the scientific data and information has started to swing 180 degrees...showing that the theory of evolution, among other assumptions, are impossible.

The problem now, though, is that scientists that “speak up” and share such data are getting fired, lose their tenure, are rejected for publication, and are ridiculed and ostracized for even sharing such observational data!

It is actually a little hard to believe.

Hi i have a big problem with finding a recoil pad for my youth model Rossi 20 gauge. It does for an absolute fact kick harder than any 12 gauge i have ever shot. Yes the 20 gauge is a single shot breakdown and that explains why it has so much pep to it. right now i shoot 20 gauge2 3/4 Express long rang shells but i don't really want to switch my shotgun shell because they have just the amount of power i need and not to mention the good quaility.

But plaese i need help finding a recoil pad and i'll take answers from any one even if u know u might be or u are wrong

This guy totally annoys me. I told him my mom filed a police report and she is going to press charges on him because he "sexually harasses" me. He seems to get thrilled by annoying people. He knew i hated him and I even made a whole new email address to get away from him and he got that new email address. I told him not to call me "sweetie" and he still did and i told him to leave me alone and he acted like nothing was wrong when i threatend to report him to the cops i said "i hate you" multiple times and he'd say "i love you" and stuff. Do you consider this sexual harassment?? and is this important enough to tell my mom about, and should she take this to the police?? He is in 10th grade and he lives in newjersey, i am in 8th grade and i live on the other side of the country. what can the police do about this? He is very smart with computers and he deleted my email address and yahoo account to hide the "proof" that he "sexually harasses" me.

Do you consider this sexual harassment?
