They want to make themselves feel better....probably a low esteem problem..or they jsut want to be/look like everyone else. Clothes really have nothing to do with personality and I will take a great personality over a sharp or sexy dresser any day of the week

I like to dress sexy because I got the body for it. Also, my husband buys me all the sexy clothes and he wants me to wear it. He says to me just because you're a mom doesn't mean you can't be sexy. I really enjoy fashion too, I enjoy wearing sexy clothes. Oh and I have a good personality and I have a brain thats filled with endless good stuff.
I think it's really unfair of people to judge people based on what they wear. Yes some can be over the top and dress way too sexy and at the same token there are some who walk around with ugly old sweats with holes in it, but there are many like myself who dress sexy tastefully. It's like being upset about someone who dyes their hair the wrong shade or doesn't get their roots touched up, it makes no sense for people to look at sexy dressed people and get all worked up about it (no pun intended).

Lots of times, the person is not attractive that wears the tight clothes, and they do it (I think) for the attention. It gets people to look, anyway. Example: how many times in the summer do you see hopelessly chunky ladies wearing low cut tops and obscenely short shorts? It looks painful to wear it's that tight. I think they mistake the looks they get for positive reactions; we're going to look, but it doesn't mean we like it just because we're looking at it.

Well, single men want to look sexy to attract a lady, single ladies are attracting men, but after they get married it changes. I have noticed over the course of many more years than I care to discuss, that married women dress for other women. That is not to say for attracting purposes, but more to say, "He's mine, and you can't get him, I'm sexier than you".
Some men do the same, but you can never be sure, for we, as men, all have a wandering eye at times, and always like to think we still have IT, although our pants won't stay up without suspenders.

Dressing 'sexy' doesn't involve over-exposure. Every woman should live by this rule:
If you're showing a little skin on top, cover up the bottom.
If you're showing a little skin on the bottom, cover up on top.
With that said, I don't THINK I NEED to dress sexy. Sometimes I just WANT to. It helps keep my confidence from plummeting as it often does.

There are some people, very few I might admit, who are beautiful on the ouside on the inside, but sexy dressing isn't all for the seer, it could also help the wearer feel a lot more comfortable with their appearance, therefore making them act better and friendlier....this works especially well on dates.

I am with you on that ! I think sexy is being comfortable and relaxed and confident. I don't know why people feel the need to flash and bare it all. I like to dress appealing from time to time. But not on a daily basis.

to make themselves feel sexy and attract the attention from the opposite sex. i think most of us women have been guilty of this from time to time. i dress sexy sometimes, but not all the time, right now i'm wearing jogging pants and a florida t shirt and a robe and warm fuzzy socks and wool lined shoes. nothing is showing. besides my husband likes for me to show a little sometimes.

Advertising media. There is truly no need for it. The opposite sexes have found each other attractive enough for centuries and centuries without dressing a certain way. Witness the population increase. I find food to be in the same catergory. None of us need to be told to eat. We will eat, we will desire and have sex. It's a matter of who can make you believe their food is more desireable or their clothes will make your sexual attributes more pronounced and thereby enrich themselves.
