My brother has a PSP and I have a DS, so I figured I'd bring those. There's a DVD player in the car, but we don't have any new movies and the kids will only sit still for so long.
I guess I could bring coloring books. Maybe some snacks like Goldfish or something. Ummm ...
See, the thing is we're going to be doing most of our driving during the day. So I need ideas of stuff to keep them not-annoying!! xD
Also, we leave tomorrow (I pretty much just found out) so there's no time to go out and buy anything ...
And if you have any ideas for kid songs, tell me because I'm planning to make some CDs. The kids love songs like Who Let The Dogs Out and stuff like that.

I think it is nice of you that you want to keep them entertained. There ages are hard to do because there isn't much stuff out now-a-days that are appropriate for them. I would definitley bring the DS and PSP, coloring books work too. You could maybe bring some interesting picture books or something like that. Hope it helps! Have fun.

find anything you can give away as a "prize". (could be anything like ribbons, snacks, things from your room that you want to get rid of". Put them all in the "prize sack". Don't let anyone see in....then you can start the games such as "I spy", or the picnic game (you have to name an item in alphabetical order such as A-apple, b-boat, c-corn, etc that you would take to beach or picnic).
You can also give out prizes for pretty pictures...make it fun, such as the person who uses the color red the best or the color blue...etc.

Ok on a serious note, what you came up with is a pretty good plan. Also play I Spy with the local surroundings and using the liscense plate play a game where the first person to reach 100 using the numbers on a liscense plate wins. They have to call the number to get it.
