I've been raised as a Methodist, but the past few years have left me questioning my Christian beliefs. I still believe in God, but I also am intrigued by paths of other religions. Do you think that God gave the world different religions for a more colorful palate, and that to acheive a better sense of spritual awakening it's acceptable to incorporate beliefs of other faiths?

Well, please don't be offended, but I have a lot of mormon, atheist, muslim, ect. friends. I also have a couple of gay friends. But I still love God and I've accepted him as my savior. I can't ask my parents because I'm afraid they'd make me stop hanging out with all my friends of different religion. My question is...
Is it ok for me to have those kind of friends, gay/different religion friends? As long as I don't let it interfere with my religion? Does it say somewhere in the Bible that it's wrong, and if it does could you tell me the verse because I'm confused. Some people are telling me it's ok and others are saying it's totally wrong. I really don't want to stop being friends with them, but religion is important to me.
PS. This question was not intended to offend ANYONE. I really do want to know.

If God asked you to seek his kingdom out and his righteousness, if you ask him for perfection, and to live in heaven, he would just give it to you. Would you strive to become like him, knowing you could reach this goal here on earth, become perfect and sinless before God, and sin no more before you die, because God declares this in the bible. Kinda like sin is defeated, and lucifer's rain is over in you. To become like God, and his righteousness, and walk holy before God, Would you walk like Jesus? If this was the path to salvation? and all you have to do is ask, or seek.

is this not a better path then Jesus dieing for our sins?

I can see why Jesus was sent, there is none like me, and all would have fallen to the god of this world, but my soul, "so far" because sin rains in you. I kinda walk alone in my faith for perfection and heaven. God holds my keys to heaven, and my heart.

So the question to ask is did we need a messiah?

I saw an ad with Jeremy Roenick talking about his IIHF experiences against Team Canada on Sportscenter today. It was quite amusing because I am an avid Team Canada fan. Does anyone know somewhere I could watch it again?

Two Jewish men, Sid and Al, were sitting in a Mexican restaurant.
Sid asked Al, "Are there any people of our faith born
and raised in Mexico ?"

Al replied, "I don't know, let's ask our
waiter."

When the waiter came by, Al asked him, "Are there any
Mexican Jews?" and the waiter said, "I don't
know Senor, I'll ask the cooks."

He returned from the kitchen in a few minutes and said "No
sir, no Mexican Jews."

Al wasn't really satisfied with that and asked, "Are
you absolutely sure?"

The waiter, realizing he was dealing with "Gringos"
gave the expected answer, "I will check again, Senor!"
and went back into the kitchen.

While the waiter was away, Sid said, "I find it hard
to believe that there are no Jews in Mexico , Our people are
scattered everywhere."

The waiter returned and said "Senor, the head cook
said there is no Mexican Jews.

"Are you certain?" Al asked once again. "I can't believe there are no Mexican Jews!"

I'm an IT consultant, and happened to be well versed in the particular subject matter at hand and the project done well under schedule.

However, I have the distinct impression that if they see I got the job done in 5 hours they will suspect shoddy work. Do I explain the situation and bill for 5, or just bill for 20 and say i got it done a little faster or something?? The other thing is that most people really would take 25 hours to do this work, and I feel like my expertise isn't really being compensated at only 5 hrs billing.

I suppose the other option is to just bill for 5 and tell them in the future there will be a minimum charge or something? I would like the input of experienced independent contractors, because I don't want to be unscrupulous, yet i want to be fairly compensated

Alright, so here's a summary of the facts. Looking to know if my parents can again claim me as a dependent or not.

- 20 years old
- full-time student (they pay about 2/3, I pay 1/3)
- employed full-time, salary this year of approximately $25,000
- lived at home from 01/01 until 09/01
- lived in own place 09/01 through present, and therefore they did not provide me with four months of support
- was on a month-long trip 06/29 through 07/25 and therefore they did not provide me with a month's worth of support then
- pay my own car payment, albeit under their name as I bought the car when I was 17
- pay my own car insurance; however, it is paid to my father who then pays it
- under father's health insurance

I believe I am entitled to not be claimed as a dependent. As far as I understand, if I pay more than 50% of my support myself, they cannot claim me. 4 months alone+1 month alone on road=5 months. Out of the remaining 6 months, I am sure I paid 1/6th of my support myself.

Please help

I was posed a question by some friends; why is it that when the spanish terrorist group ETA bombed spain that nothing was mentioned of their religion. However, just like in todays case, Benazir Bhutto was killed by a terrorist group in Pakistan. Religion in this had no motive but yet Islam has again become 'evil'. religion has nothing to do with this as this is a case of pure politics.
We in the west think what is going on in the world is right - say what you may that is the general feeling - however, the innocent civilians in other parts view it differently. There is always a two sides to a war.
It is foreign policies that is causing a big mess for the world.
Is that why Russia is moving away from us and problems have begun to mount between us once again?

My vet says my cat has Calicivirus. I told her my cat has bad breath, very red gums & she occasionaly sneezes. I adopted her from a humane society 3 months ago. They said she's about between 4 to 5 years old. My vet said it's almost like a kitty herpes, but it's not and she said she'll keep a watch out for her. I am concerned as I don't know much about this a read a few articles, but still confused. I massage her gums almost daily and give her Feline Greenies for cats. I see some results with that. Does anyone out there at Yahoo have the same cat symptoms? Need some good answers Thanks a lot Yahoo Answers ( :

Reality?
Logic?
The mind; the heart, so deceptively fallible.
The only reality, the only logic is the one we agree on.
We're slaves to our lessons.
Allow me to share one of mine.

*The only true reason you know you're right, is because people agree.
*The only true reason you know you're wrong, is because people agree.

Prove God wrong and you’ll prove God right.
Prove God right and you’ll prove God wrong.
Prove God wrong and you’ll prove God right.
Prove God right and you’ll prove God wrong.
Right or wrong; wrong or right…the world has gone mad?
