How do you feel when a guy approaches you with a cheesy pick up line, girls? Guys, what are you thinking when you approach a woman with lines of this caliber? Who coined these phrases in the first place?

He's not very imaginitive, although you can learn a lot from him telling you his sign. It was coined by a guy who was desperate for attention. :-) Actually it wasn't that cheesy when it was first used back in the seventies. It was the "Age of Aquarius" and signs were a big deal. It was a whole different time zone that it is now.

Guys who use these lines are going for the 5% approach. 95% of women will send them packing. But that 5% who are looking for Mr. Right Now keep them coming back.
It's a way to weed through the women who aren't looking to put out.

I personally am not a fan of " pick up line"..
I just act my self and let it come naturally.. But if I did use them, I would do one that makes you think just a little..ha
By the way, if a guy gives you a cheesy line like that, he is either trying to be funny, or just dumb...

i think its funny when guys come at me with a cheesy line...if it makes me laugh they already get points...guys are very shy and its harder for them to approach the girls, i mean think about it all the pressure is on them to go up to the girl and try to spark a convo or be the ones that hit on the girls, most of the time us girls just have to stand there and look pretty...i just think the lamer the funnier...i give them props for having te courage to come up and say something, if its a slime ball line, then i would just tell them to buzz off...but aw men, we just can't live with out them! lol or atleast make babies with out them! happy new year!

I met this guy in high school who used to use corny pick up lines on me like "Are those space pants you're wearing because you are out of this world" and crap like that....
I found it to be cheesy and wierd but flattering because he was horrible at making girls like him, but it was the thought that counted and it made me laugh because the way he said it sounded like it was scripted like he was reading from a cue card or something..................7 years later and now I'm married to him and have twin boys with him haha!

"You must be tired baby, because you have been runnin through my mind, or something like that, lol. But seriously pick up lines are dumb. I think small talk and confidence and the guy being himself would help him much more than pick up lines.

I'm a girl....when a guy approaches me with a pick up line, i normally think it is really cute that they are trying to get your attention, but that doesn't mean I would hook up with them

Dam she is so hot I just totally blew it, thinking with the wrong head again. Reminds me of the time I said, hey baby wanna ride in my car.....As far as who made these phrases in the first place I would say some one hanging longer than me

I think it's funny. I give guys cheesy lines as jokes all the time. Funny part it is works.
