I was baptised as a methodist and have had a very loose relationship with God, rarely going to church and not having much of a Christian identity. Now I desire to become closer to God and do his will, so I attended a new church in my neighborhood that seems to be really laid back, young and fun. I went to one service and liked it, but after some research found out that they follow pentacostal beliefs about the second coming and Jesus being the only path to salvation. I really want to be open to God's message, but I also want to avoid getting indotrinated into a holy roller tent revival sort of thing.

The service I went to seemed really opened minded. Do I have the wrong idea about the pentacostal church? Have things changed over time? Or am I falling for the message they use to lure in people who don't know much about religion so they can teach their message to a blank slate, free of other influences?

Let’s play a game shall we? Let say for a moment that you get a new job in a different city. In this city you find high rent prices but no vacancies. You are forced to buy a brand new condo that you can barely afford and are one of the first to move in. Everything is fine for a while until you find out that 51% of the other condos were purchased by one family who wanted to be together. You also find out they are a bunch of slobs. They are strident, they throw garbage around and relieve themselves on the hall carpets. The smell from their cooking is enough to gag a maggot. What do you do about these people? They control the majority and your property rights values state that one person can't control another person in the way they live or what they do with their own property. By suing them or calling the health department you are going against your values by forcing another person to live by your rules. If you do nothing your condo will be worthless and impossible to live in. What would you do?

The Espionage Act of 1917 was a United States federal law passed shortly after entering World War I, on June 15, 1917, which made it a crime for a person to convey information with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the armed forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies. It was punishable by a maximum $USD 10,000 fine (almost $170,000 in today's dollars) and 20 years in prison. The legislation was passed at the urging of President Woodrow Wilson, who feared any widespread dissent in time of war, thinking that it constituted a real threat to an American victory.

I received reckless driving in the state of Virginia in the city of Chesapeake. Im 17 years old and this would be my first traffic ticket anywhere. I used to live in New York and I moved here but I still retain my New York license. What are the realistic charges that would be held against me?

Coulter says, "God says, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours'"

The Pope bemoaned an “ill-treated world” in his Christmas Mass

Do Republicans really support destroying our own planet as quickly as possible? Oh, she was just joking, hahahaha

The Coulter quote is on the inside cover of one of her books, just Google it

I have a cat, probably about 12+ years old. About three months ago, lost a bunch of weight, had breathing problems, and face swelled up very badly. Took him to vet, had infected tooth removed, and he seemed to get somewhat better. About a week ago, head started to swell again, but then started bleeding out of eye and nose, and breating very poorly, and peeing on bed >:( Took him back to vet, and they said was likely infection and to give him antibiotics, which I'm doing. My concern is that his breathing is VERY labored. I'm not all for killing a cat when it gets rough, but I don't want him to be in pain until he just up and dies. I know none of you can really diagnose without seeing him. Just looking for opinion. I'm planning on taking back to vet after Christmas.

One of my neighbors brought up a bunch of cookies and candy.
Which was really sweet of her to do and the couple things I had were very good.
My youngest daughter, had a cookie an a small piece of fudge, with in 10 minutes she was throwing up and turning red.
I knew what the problems was--the stuff was baked/made using soy milk, she is allergic.

So, If you made baked goods using soy or some thing besides "regular" milk would you tell the person you are giving the stuff to? If not, you really should. I know people don't really think about it when baking and giving.

okay..
this is kind of like a blog.. and a question.
i would write it on myspace..
but they dont need to know about my life..yea weird i know..
but anyways...

my mom met some guy over the internet.
i figured he would be like all of the other men.
things would go great and then my mom would find something wrong with them or something would go wrong no- and no matter how stupid it was they would end up breaking up.
sometimes things jus worked out for the best.
Leo.. one of my favorites..
died from cancer maybe two years after they had broken up...
another who i have some respect for [[though not much]] ended having to move.. he moved to like Texas of something with his ex "wife". so he packed up his trailer and motercycle and before i knew it he and his beer belly were gone.
i didnt even get to say goodbye.. i could really care less.
i probably would have told him to have a nice life and kiss my ***.. but thats beside the pointMORE IN DETAILS SOON. PLZ KEEP THIS ? IN MIND

I'm working on a play, where a character may potentially be looking at the Brooklyn Bridge from Prospect Park. Do any Brooklyn or NYC residents, or people in general, know if you have a good view of the Bridge from Prospect Park? It has to be the Brooklyn Bridge...it can't be the Manhattan Bridge!

Best,
Jason
