Let’s play a game shall we? Let say for a moment that you get a new job in a different city. In this city you find high rent prices but no vacancies. You are forced to buy a brand new condo that you can barely afford and are one of the first to move in. Everything is fine for a while until you find out that 51% of the other condos were purchased by one family who wanted to be together. You also find out they are a bunch of slobs. They are strident, they throw garbage around and relieve themselves on the hall carpets. The smell from their cooking is enough to gag a maggot. What do you do about these people? They control the majority and your property rights values state that one person can't control another person in the way they live or what they do with their own property. By suing them or calling the health department you are going against your values by forcing another person to live by your rules. If you do nothing your condo will be worthless and impossible to live in. What would you do?

By forcing them to do something about the way they live in order to save your home, isn’t that the same thing you accuse those of that want you to change the way you treat the planet? Don't deniers call this as a socialist plot?

The belief by AWG deniers that environmentalists and liberals want to control the way people live is an ongoing theme, they often refered to it as socialist scheme or plot.
One good example is http://www.thestar.com/article/176382 or http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=A0geupIGmHBHpS4Bmw_rFAx.;_ylu=X3oDMTEzOGI5NnNlBHNlYwNzYy1ib3QEY29sbwNhYzIEdnRpZANDQTAyNjVfMjY1?qid=20071213123344AAPgLQu or if you just Google the phrase "money-sucking socialist scheme" and see what comes up.

Nobody said what they would do. I imagine the AWG deniers would be the first to bring law suit against the offending group, especially when it's their money at stake forcing the others to live by the rules, to hell with property rights. But when it comes to global property rights while most people are doing something about climate change, people like Jello would continue to deny they are damaging the planet until the planet become unliveable. People like that will eventually be forced to comply with more environmentally sound policies and they will be the first to cry about their property rights and declare the it’s all a socialist plot against them.

There is a small family behind the anti global warming lobby, they are oil and coal producers who want us to buy their merchandise, Auto producers, who want us to buy big and expensive SUVs rather than small efficient cars, and there are more.
and they plan to do it until all the ice melts in the poles, and the climate too hot, giant storms, sea covering shores, and most species extinct.
If you call those who want to prevent it socialists, you may, I call them humans.

Facts are facts! Kyoto is essentially a socialist scheme to suck money out of wealth-producing nations. Billions have already been spent on this man-made global warming hoax and nothing has been done to solve something that is not scientifically proved. Why don't you hear about how the earth hasn't warmed since 1998 from these people? A cooperative and productive discussion of global warming must be open and honest regarding the science. Global warming threats ought to be studied and mitigated, and they should not be deliberately exaggerated as a means of building support for a desired political position/agenda. Why won't the alarmists debate this science?

While matricualing at the U. one of my minors was Environmental Policy. I have been in touch with climate change and human impact studies since the earl 90's. If you honestly believe all of this is a ruse I feel sorry for you.
This would have to be one of the biggest attempts of deception in human history. I was involved in a study instituted by Champaign-Urbana in '92, after model preliminaries, the unit I was working with knew there was trouble brewing on the horizon. Sure information can be distorted and misconstrued by those trying to get there point across, I'll give you that. I urge you to reconsider and look a little deeper and find it within yourself to spend time and energy to reeducate yourself concerning the bigger picture and take propaganda for what it is.

Let's examine some of the elements of this socialist plot...
http://www.carboncyclescience.gov/about.php
"The U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Program is clarifying the changes, magnitudes and distributions of carbon sources and sinks, the fluxes between the major terrestrial, oceanic and atmospheric carbon reservoirs, and the underlying mechanisms involved including humans, fossil fuel emissions, land use, and climate. Program scientists are now beginning to reveal and quantify some of the intricate complexities and interactions between the Earth’s carbon reservoirs and climate. Ten federal agencies coordinate and support the program activities...
In 2002, President George W. Bush established the Climate Change Research Initiative (CCRI); currently, the work of USGCRP and CCRI are integrated under the U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP). The objective of this management structure is to improve global observing systems, reduce significant uncertainties in climate science, develop science-based information resources to support policy making and resource management, and disseminate the new knowledge broadly among the international scientific and user communities."
So President Bush is somehow deeply involved.
No doubt there will be a lot of questionable socialist material to be found among the 35 presentations from last month's conference, and one of them must be the "evil plot planning session":
50th Anniversary of the Global Co2 Record
November 28-30, 2007 / Kona, Hawaii
http://co2conference.org/agenda.asp
Similarly, President Bush had this Prototype State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR) developed even though he knew that the carbon cycle is unrelated to climate change:
North American carbon budget and
implications for the global carbon cycle

Clearly all of the scientists and hundreds of government employees across the ten agencies involved are all in on the socialist plot! Any that were tempted to blow the whistle... um... are being held in Guantanamo Bay and are being tortured by the CIA! It all fits!
It wouldn't even make a decent fictional story (sorry Michael Crighton).

Uh, wow. How did you equate global warming with a socialist plot? As far as I can tell, you proved that if people act systemattically like assholes, the world will not be a better place for it. (Still clueless about what this has to do with global warming).
Wait, you asked a bunch of questions...
I can't answer them in order, so's here's what I got for ya.
Some thoughts for you... Most people try not to be as horrible as the people in your scenario... (Tho your imaginary city sounds stubbornly republican to me... sorry, I hope for the sake of republicans' souls that that is just my bias).
OK, finally, people who are able to differentiate (sorry, big words) the problem of GLOBAL WARMING from that of wanton neglect would never move, uninformed into your imaginary city.
Jeez.

Fine let's play your silly game. Tell me how I have messed up your condo. Please just tell me what I have done to contribute to the mess. Be specific and keep it just to me. Tell me where I reduced your property values.
I haven't. I didn't reduce your property values at all. I have had no impact on your life at all. Nothing I do has any effect on your life. This is the truth.
You want to punish everyone because you PERCEIVE someone will put trash in your condo. It's as simple as that. You want to control everyone because of the actions of a few.
This is nothing different that when the Germans opened up the concentrations camps to punish all Jews because they hated some Jews. We didn't stop people like you in the 1920's, we need to stop you today.

It may be a plot but it looks more to me like it is poor math, poor projections, and poor reasoning. The ulterior motive might be control of more of our lives but when the numbers just don't work.
Doesn't it seem to you that in your scenario that someone is controlling another person and denying that person of freedoms whichever side you are on.
