My friend (20 yrs, healthy and active) has been experiencing a wholllee bunch of symptoms this past week or so.

During the 'first wave' (as I will call it), it was nausea, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea. He usually gets these symptoms when he hasn't gotten enough sleep, so it was sort of normal.

Second wave. Next day or so, he suddenly comes down with a bad migraine, fever, nausea, chills. So he rested for about two days and it was pretty much gone except for the nausea (which had lightened up but was still there) and he would still get some headaches here and there.

Third wave. Though it seemed like things were getting better, he was suddenly struck with more nausea, abdominal discomfort, bumps all over his body, and a swollen face (he can hardly open his eyes).

Throughout this whole time, he couldn't eat as much as usual, though he says he still has appetite. He has also been experiencing weakness. He will be seeing a doctor asap, but tomorrow is Christmas..

What has worked better for you, pills or changing your thoughts? I am trying to deal with being in and out of depression, and I don't want to be on drugs, but I am willing to listen to peoples' opinions about medication. Also, without medication, what methods are there to beat depression?

If there was no borders anywhere and it was all one world.

This is obviously extremely hypothetical but I just want to see what people think.

What are the positives?

I admire that you want creationism to be taught as Science.

You like to ask Science questions on here, I'll give you what you want.

You need logical arguments to debate/discuss. To start with very simple question, can you please refute endogenous retrogene insertions, Scientifically?

Endogenous retrogene insertions are molecular remnants of a past parasitic viral infection. Occasionally, copies of a retrovirus genome are found in its host's genome, and these retroviral gene copies are called endogenous retroviral sequences. Retroviruses, like HIV, make a DNA copy of their own viral genome and insert it into their host's genome. If this happens to a germ line cell (i.e. the sperm or egg cells) the retroviral DNA will be inherited by descendants of the host.

This process is rare and fairly random, so finding retrogenes in identical chromosomal positions of two different species indicates common ancestry.

Be kind and please remember, I said Scientifically.

This coming year will be the 1st year I spend alone. Earlier today, my family upset me, so it's better that I spend the holidays in solitude. I don't know what the New Years meal traditions are.

my daughter is conquering my fear of the dark!

for many logical reasons- i am terrified of the dark meaning--- no shadows on the wall
---- no doors ajar or blinds open into darkness
------ must have nightlight at least or full light on to sleep
-----had night terrors nightly for at least 10 years

i wont go into a dark room to reach around for a light switch

BUT--- my baby girl has no fear of darkness nor does she have a reason
so when she walks into a dark place or shuts the tv in middle of the night.
i laugh and play with her
and realise-- i am in complete darkness
but she is safe
and i have nothing to fear
and it is working out but i just think wow
a 15 month old can help me to not be afraid bc SHE is brave

and that is so amazing to me

and i know that others have stories like that
so please share

why did they end the movie so suddenly? it didnt even finish the book. it cant be because the director wanted it to end in a cliffhanger, since the actual end of the first book is a cliffhanger by itself...

What do I need to keep in mind so he feels comfortable. Yes, he is very much aware of my feelings.

I am traveling from the Benicia to Las Vegas the day after Christmas and I would like to know what the roads are like and the weather? My Father was suppose to go and do most of the driving and now he is unable to make it and I will be doing all of the driving by myself and I am a little worried. I don't like driving on dangerous highways. Is there anything I should know? I would like to be prepared so anything you know will help....
