Well, Ativan will not MAKE you overdose. Technically, taking even one more than your doctor prescribes to you is overdosing. If you got this on the street, then technically one is, because you have no reason for it.

EDIT:

An Ativan overdose happens when you consume more Ativan than your body can safely handle. Ativan abusers are constantly flirting with drug overdose, and the difference between the high they're seeking and serious injury or death is often quite small. The symptoms of Ativan overdose are degrees of central nervous system depression ranging from drowsiness to coma.

In mild cases, symptoms include:

* drowsiness
* mental confusion
* lethargy
* weakness
* unsteady walk
* depressed breathing
* stupor

In more serious cases, and especially when other drugs or alcohol were ingested, symptoms may include:

* ataxia
* hypotonia
* hypotension
* hypnotic state
* stage one (1) to three (3) coma
* death

I only found that overdosing on Ativan happens when you consume more than your body handels, so I assume it all has to do with your body...Weight and tolerance.

Ah however, if Madeleine acquired preserve of the bottle herself and took all of the contents??? That might kill her might it now not? Depending at the contents within the bottle. And how do you give an explanation for the sedative within the frame fluid/hair? *edit* They might have included it up, in a panic, in worry of it popping out that they sedated all their children to lead them to sleep, as all of the 3 kids might were validated they usually might were struck off, and the twins eliminated. I recognise the hair might turn out sedatives got at a few factor handiest, however with no clinical list of a few such prescription, again at house in HER GPs files, it might turn out the McCanns took it upon themselves to come to a decision to sedate the the little one. And even Dr father and mother arnt allowed to do this. She might want a analysis of anything like ADD for her GP to precribe a sedative. Sometimes they are going to for an extended travel, however I suppose so much GPs might say dont sedate your little one for a aircraft travel, its amusing they usually will have to enjoy the joys of a aircraft journey.

I take a .25 dose once a day or when needed. The most I have ever taken was 2 at once. I do not know how much it will take to overdose, but why are you asking? I would stick to the recommended dosage by your Doctor..

If you think you really need to know the answer to this question then call your doctor and ask him/her. I see no reason for knowing this informatiion and I doubt that anyone on here will tell you the answer. If you plan on killing yourself you will have to do it without any help from me. If you are really thinking about suicide there are many other options that are more effective than taking an O/D and having to have your stomach pumped. Grow up Life's not that bad. There are many people worse off than you, me for one and I want to live. Seems like everytime someone has a problem on here all they want to do is kill themselves. Why don't you challenge yourself by learning how to feel better instead of dying.
