could someone explain for someone who has no interest in football what the bcs is. how does it work? does it make any sense at all? are the teams that are any good actually represented properly? why not a tournament system like college basketball has? please keep answers non technical.

I've had a few complications with accents while I speak languages.

I speak Chinese, English, and Japanese.

I realize that I have an accent in all three, so I have to ask... is it better to know all three languages but speak with an accent? Or is it better to just stick with one language, be perfect in that and forget the others?

I get self conscious when my American friends point out my grammatical/pronunciation errors or when my Chinese friends tell me not to speak because of my accent. Because of the above incidents, I've been trying to get rid of my accent in Japanese also.

What are your opinions?

I had to take them to the mall to buy the gifts that I got for them (I had no babysitter), the only ones they have not seen are some that a couple of friends got for them and I am tempted to tell them that those one are from Santa but i don’t want my friends to loss the credit? BTW they 5 and 2 and know all about Santa.

Hi i have recently decided to revamp my image but at the same time I am concerned that it is not worth the effort. What tips would you give me to make me better looking? Would you consider me a really ugly person or do i have potential to look decent?????

I've been seeing this guy a month now, I'm eighteen and he's 23. He works 5 days a week and lives an hour from me. He seems to be honest and when we hang out things are good, the chemistry is great. Problem is we never get to see each other cause of me going to college and him working all the time NOT TO MENTION he loves to hunt whenever he possibly can. He always tells me he will come and see me, but never pulls through on it. This has happened atleast five times now, but yet we still talk everyday. He's finally pulled my last straw by us planning to go out Saturday, but yet I didn't ever hear from him that day or the next day either. I tried talking to him and received no response. Now he is trying to talk to me and I've been completely ignoring him. I finally told him it ISN'T ok to walk out of my life a few days then expect things to be fine when he returns. He admitted to messing up. What's up with this? No matter what happens he always comes back, but what's the deal?

I've kind of decided that I believe in God now. I've really been thinking about it over the past few days. I've seen the power by which faith gives people strength, courage, and hope. I don't think the effect of faith on people's lives can be explained in purely natural terms.

I'm thinking of converting to either Roman Catholicism or Greek Orthodoxy.

So anyways - do you have any thoughts, opinions, bits of information, etc., you wish to share?

Hi, I need a little help answering this one. My roomate has been here 4 months, he filled out an application with the landlord when he moved in to make him official here. But we never signed a new Rental agreement together. today is 12/24/07, and he just told me he's moving out 12/31/07, which doesn't leave me enough time to find someone to help pay for next months rent. Does he have to give me and the landlord 30 days notice, and can he be held responsible for his portion of the rent until I find a new roomie since he never gave his notice legally? please help me!
