Trees have been considered symbols of fertility or having a subconscious need to facilitate our libido, or our will to survive(the tree of life--along with crosses; sun rays that were considered to penetrate and fertilize the ground(to grow plants); being 'reborn' in a cave, which is symbolic of the womb... e.g. Jesus, Mohammed, and Budhhists receiving spiritual enlightenment or rebirth in caves.)

Considering trees having prior symbolisms to fertility, and a woman expected to always be pregnant and not working is considered oppression in recent times(oppression = only worth her reproduction and maternal abilities), do you refrain from putting up Christmas trees? Or perhaps, do you consider the past to be just that.... the past?

(Question more for theoretical feminists, as opposed to strict equalists)

Should i get my wisdom teeth out before boot camp?

i have impacted wisdom teeth and unfortunatly they are ALL impacted. My cousin went into the navy and said that his had to be pulled before he started basic. just wondering if this was true for all branches. i am goin AF

Can anybody help me please?

Will I go to hell if i'm not baptisted, My mum was a Catholic and my dad was C of E, they left it for me to decide. I fear I have got a ternimal illness and as I am not scared about dying I am terrified that I will go to hell, Mum as already died and so as my sister and I always thought that when I go I will be reunited with them. Will I or what, I tried catholic lessons for six months, but couldn't really understand what it was all about. Please help, I am really worried. Thankyou

Why does New Zealand seem so encouraging of immigration?

I was reading a book about immigration that covers immigration into many individual countries. It said New Zealand was has launched it's own marketing campaign to attract middle class American immigrants. What are the reasons? I checked out their website, and I must say, I've need seen a country provide such a helpful and encouraging web page devoted to immigration.

I checked out their various lists of desired fields of employment for new immigrants, and the list seemed rather varying and extensive. Why the sudden need for so many different types of professionals?

Help for college!!!!!!!!!?

I had bad grades as sophmore and freshmen(2.9), and as a junior, first semester, i got a 3.4 unweighted, and a 3.7 weighted. Considering i get a 4.0 unweighted (4.25 or so weighted), what extra curricular activities can i take to try to make up for my bad GPA, and what other things can i do to ensure that i go to a good college. I also wanted to know if there are any good colleges that would accept me in CA, ideally U.C's. I looked online, and their GPA average estimates are insane, but hopefully i can make up for my screwing around the last two years. PLZ, can anyone help me??? Thanks

A and B have a race on a circular track of 510 meters.A who runs faster meets with B in the middle of the 5th round.
Now in a 3 kM race how much start A must give B so that the race ends dead heat, i.e. A and B reach the goal at the same time.
