My friend is going to propose his girl tomorrow and he feels that getting down on one knee in a restaurant is corny and cliche...since I ave the task of picking the restaurant they go to ....I am supposed to pick one where there is no possibility of them going back to and where no one would recognise him.....is he wrong...

I feel like I have been given so much in my life. I have so much that I don't need and I know that there are people out there who need the money I have so much more then me. It's the season of giving and I want to give back. I was thinking maybe I could buy gifts for some children in the hospital or an orphanage? What do you think? Any other Ideas???

I am from New Zealand and just assumed that everyone had a "boxing day".....that was until I went to the USA on Boxing Day and people looked at me blankly when I said it.

Im 15YO and I have this lymph node on my right groin thats been there for about 3 to 4 years. It is 1cm in diameter. It isnt rock hard and it isnt overly soft. It is VERY mobile. It has never hurt or anything. The thing is, you can barely even see it when I look in the mirror. In fact I never really see it unless I rock my body forwards and then, obviously, I can see it. Its sort of the same way with my left side. I have one in the exact same spot on the left. Im tall and lenky so I dont know if that has anything to do with it (6' 4" and 180 lbs.). I started lifting and working out 3 or 4 years ago (No it is not a hernia) for my college football career at UCLA. Everyone of my friends all tell me that this is definitely nothing and Im worrying over nothing. Im a HUGE hypachondriac. Please dont say go to a doctor. I dont like doctors. But anyways everyone has said this is nothing and I need to calm down and enjoy life. Are they right? I have had no symptoms of anything cancerous ever.

I'm suffering from an eating disorder, severe depression and suicidal thoughts and ideas.

My doctors have suggested going to the hospital. However my parents are saying that I don't need to go in, because I don't want to recover from my ED right now, and therefore it won't help me.

Other than the simple fact that it would keep me safe/alive, are there any perks to going to the hospital?
