It doesn't matter. If it leaves too strong of a taste in your mouth afterwards, then rinse. But you don't have to.

i think some mouth washes are supposed to protect your teeth up to 12 hours, so wouldn't it be best not to wash your mouth out with water after using the mouthwash?
