Will Pat Robertson still love me?

Well, it helps to find at least some you can trust...not blind faith for that would mean ignoring any number of God's warnings...but having a least a small circle of like-minded people you can fellowship with is essential if you really want to follow Jesus' instructions!

What happens?...if you dig Jesus but don't automatically trust anyone who claims to follow him, I'd say that you're in a much better position to avoid deception than most people. The sheer number of atrocities committed in the name of Jesus testify to the dangers of putting your trust in people that claim to be speaking for him. You probably won't take part in the next Jim Jones Kool-Aid party!

As for Pat Robertson, who cares? Jesus didn't command you to make others love you. Whether Pat Robertson loves God more than he loves power and money is between him and God...but he isn't one of the "small circle of like-minded people" I turn to for advice!

You show true loyalty to Jesus. He said some of His so-called followers would actually be false prophets. I think Pat Robertson is one of them.

Generally, the more someone delcares they are Christian, the less I trust them. Not because I don't trust religious people. It's because if someone is going out of their way to make sure everyone knows they are religious, I have to wonder what it is they are compensating for, or who they are trying so hard to convince. Truly spiritual people demonstrate their rightousness through their actions, not their words.

If he does, you must've mistaken some other guy for Jesus.

If you "dig" Jesus, then follow His teachings, and be obedient to His words, and let God be God. What His "followers" do is between them and God. Not you.

Then you're like most ex-christians.

Jesus = win.
Christians = fail.
