whats the scariest thing thats ever happened to you?

I was almost murdered by someone who thought I was sleeping with her boyfriend (the girl who WAS and I had the same name and lived in same area). She hired someone to kill me (this other girl) and right as the guy was about to shoot me, a couple of people came jogging with their dog and I screamed to them and he ran. They found the gun, but not the guy. I moved far away and changed my name. :)

Then I almost lost my daughter after she was born, but 6 days in the NICU, she bounced back and is very healthy now! :)

I was in an earthquake (in California) that registered 7.1 on the richter scale. I was there visiting my dad and all of his belongings were destroyed in the earthquake. It was the scariest thing because we thought that we wouldn't survive. He lived on the 13th floor and there were areas in the carpeted hallway where the building had separated and you had to be careful where you walked. The stairwell was separated from the building, so you had to be careful going down the stairs as well.

We were both happy to have survived through that together!

Had a boil under my arm, went to the E.R. to get it lanced off and packed and they did not put enough novacine in it and i felt the whole procedure...I was shaking through the whole thing as my body went into shock...It was a nightmare and very scary for me and my 9 yr old daughter who saw her mama is extreme pain. My fiancee who was with me thought i was being a wimp cause he knows how i am with needles and pain but then he realized after the procedure was over, i was still shaking and did not stop for 20 minutes after and he felt so bad!!! Also, my mother had a massive stroke shortly after a simple surgery..she was in the recovery room when it happened...they put her in instasive care and that next night, she was brain dead...she was only 64 years old...we had to pull the plug on her and it was so scary letting her go..We never got to say goodbye!! 5 days later, my son was born.

when i was about 14 & we accepted a lift from some guys my friend knew (maybe only one of the 4 ) as we missed the last City train that left about midnight... & these boys were out side south brisbane station in their car & yeah offered us a lift & took us into a bush & we ran away pretending we wanted the loo & it was scary as they drove slowly up the street searching for us as we lay down in the long grass at the side oy the road... anyway we didnt learn.... as for about a mile away we hitched a lift home with an old couple in a ute ..stupid hey... see little kids not as grown up as they think :):)

A few months ago, my family moved out of our old trailer. About a week later, it was inspected to be resold; they found a serious carbon monoxide leak, already near fatal levels. One more winter there would have killed us all. Maybe that doesn't exactly qualify as scary the way you mean it, but it was one hell of a wake-up call.

In college, some friends and I broke into an abandoned insane asylum near campus. Something dripped on my hand when I was in an old padded room, and I almost had a heart attack.

When I was a teenager I let 3 guys who I didn't know pick me up in a car.

They took me to the mall where I was going......and just drove off.

When I think about what could have happened I was lucky.
