Since my husband and I are spending Christmas at home this year I splurged at bought a five pound prime rib roast at the butcher a few days ago. The problem is I have to idea how to cook it! I know it can't be too hard, but I really don't want to mess it up because I spent $60 on the piece of meat and I would really like it to turn out well. In Feb, my Xbf wrecked my '01 bmw 325xi, I had state farm insurance at the time (Had them for 22 years !)...They used junkyard parts on my car and now the control arm, ball joint has gone bad...AND it'll need lined up and two new front tires..I'm still waiting to hear from State farm as to what they're going to do about it..The adjuster apparently picked apart my car trying to somehow blame the part failure on me...The owner of the shop that did the work is almost as angry about it as I am because he didn't want to use the junkyard parts to start with !

I guess my question is, if State farm does'nt want to pay for all the repairs, what can I do ?

I am so hurt by my husbands of 19 years. Once again he hasn't bought me a Christmas gift. My birthday was in October and I got nothing, so he promised to buy me a gift for Christmas. I know that he hasn't because I asked and he said no. My gifts for him are under the tree. I don't have to have something that costs a lot of money, just some thought and care from his heart. Over the years he has bought me maybe 12 greeting cards for various holidays, and I cherish them. He knows this. A card from the dollar store is .50 cents. He could throw in a gift for a dollar. That would make me so happy. I know he had the money, but he chose to prioritize repairing his stupid car first. I have told him how much this hurts me and he just hangs his head and says "I'll get you something, don't worry". I don't believe him, or if by some miracle he does, then it will be a forced gift. Am I being unreasonable? How can I resolve this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
