I've had my tubes tied. It's actually called a tubal ligation. They cut the tubes and cauterize the ends closed. My doctor said he did the best he could, but no form of birth control is 100% effective. I went to church with a lady whose brother and sister were born after her mother's tubal ligation, so there you have it. Some people have all the luck.

The only permanent solution to pregnancy is no sex. Tube tying can still fail, if you mean "no turning back" false, you can have your tubal reversed for $4500-6000 up front, here any ways.. I also heard that tube tying is painful, I don't know my self, but you might want to look into it..Good Luck

A permanent solution to pregnancy? Yes, though I believe there is still a 0.001% chance of pregnancy, depending on how they are tied.

Yes.

They cut your Fallopian tubes and cauterize the ends.

A vasectomy for a male is much less invasive.

With the new methods the chance that you will get pregnant is so slight its almost non existent. AND it is so wonderful to be free of the fear of pregnancy.
