Because it's society who is embedding the trait for us to be judgmental and have an opinion in our brains.Although we're always had a opinion because it's human nature, I have to admit that there's been a slight increase. For instance, analyze our society lately. People consider thin to be the vogue body type, therefore leading to eating disorders and low self esteem, and many people perception of beauty is some airbrushed model, so anyone who doesn't match are considered ugly to some people. Moreover, it's not the only thing that is causing society to be so judgmental. Our world is becoming more dangerous everyday- murders, rapes, kidnappings, robberies, etc. are becoming more common, and also consider that people's morals are decreasing nowadays. Now, that doesn't include every person in the world who is like that, but it's from a general standpoint of why society could be so judgmental.

However, there isn't any specific way to subdue or cease the trend because no matter what, people will always have their opinion. And it doesn't give anybody a right to take that away from them.

Hope this helps.

I think the judgmental trend is because there's common laws and justice systems with the jury and make the decision of the verdicts. The public opinions in newsmedia through press, radio, TV, journal, and magazines. Sometimes it happened as the society become so judgmental because the politics and influential power of remarkable and outstanding individual who can make judgment or reverse the verdicts of a court decision or change the public opinions. We can't kill it because the society majority make decision.

er, you are part of 'society' and you have just made a judgement about other people by saying that they are judgmental (correct spelling). To kill the trend, stop aping it.

Why kill the trend. Being judged is what keeps us on the straight and narrow. No rules means anarchy and chaos. You can't rely on people to be considerate, many only will consider others when forced.

Say, for example, if you decide you want to hang wind chimes all around your garden because they amuse you and you find their sound soothing. Your next door neigbour make find peace and quiet more soothing so can you blame him for judging you if you distrurb his peace and serenity?

I'm over it, Gertrude. Society must have parasites like you. The trend you are encouraging is thus accurately adjudged.

I haven't noticed in increase in judgmentalism, but I think there's a correlation between an increased emphasis on individualism and increased cultural criticism. Everyone thinks their opinion, whether informed or not, matters to everyone else.
