I am going to marry my girl-friend in February of next year. She is in China right now. She has never seen the ocean before. My husbands sister and I have had our issues within the past 10 yrs. I am a shy person who is afraid of opening up to someone because I am afraid of being judged or back stabbed. I will refuse to open up to someone unless I feel it is safe and I know that the person is going to be a loyal friend. It took me 10 yrs to open up to my husbands sister and right after a year of me doing so she decides to do the very thing that I was afraid of (back stab me!) She decides to make comments behind my back and judge me. She didn't think I would not find out about the comments, but I confronted her and she admitted to making those comments that I took offense to. Immediately after I found out I just closed up inside and began to realize how dumb it was of me to even trust her. I felt betrayed, laughed at, and plain dumb to even think that she was a sincere friend. It made me so angry at myself because I let her into my world believing that she would do this to me! I am living with a good friend of mine, Ronnie, whom I have known all of my life and his wife, until I can find my own place. Right now I cannot get my own place because I just now started a new job here in Texas. I have been here almost two weeks now, and I have noticed that Ronnie's wife treats him like crap. She is always putting him down, nothing he does is ever good enough for her, any little thing sets her off, she sometimes calls him stupid, yells and cusses at him. Also by having a long talk with Ronnie, he has told me that she has been this way for about 5 yrs now, and that she is getting worse but will not admit that she has a problem. In my own observation, I think she is bipolar, with manic episodes. It hurts me to see him being treated this way and he deserves to be happy in his life. Should he stay in his marriage or should he just go ahead and leave her? If she won't get any help, the marriage will not last.

I am currently going through a background check for a police department. What do you do if they ask you about something but you honestly dont remember doing it....Im talking about something small not something major like smoking dope, of course you will remember that. And it was probably something that happened many many years ago. Im 31 but if it was something that happened back when you were 15 or 16.

At one time, Man would have eaten sh*t,probably after finding the odour so irresistible - in the same way flies and worms do - scooping it up greedily and quickly wolfing it down with relish before selection kicked in and GRADUALLY turned 'him' off it. But why didn't selection favour this rather unrefined habit, and thus promote 'recycling' in its purest form? And why do we -'instinctively' - now find the smell revolting..

I haven't gotten an x-ray done in two years, and I'm currently 16. I'm pretty scared about it, as I really really really don't want surgery. It was 26 degrees and lumbar (lower back).

Might anyone know the rate that it can advance in two years time?

On the good side, I haven't had any pain from it yet, so maybe it's not bad enough to need surgery?

I am a nervous wreak :(

I was watching a small clip from a funeral on TV the other day and it showed a speaker conducting what i guess was roll call. He called the names of two soldiers who responded with "here, sir" then they called the name of what i assume was the fallen soldier three times. First it was corporal Lance (I'm just making this name up) then after a moment of silence he said corporal John Lance. Then after another silence he said Corporal John Andrew Lance. I was just wondering what significance this held since i've never been to a military funeral. The widow just absolutely lost it during this part so I was just thinking i want to better understand it.

if so, how and why? isn't good and evil just a concept or construct formed by the human mind to decide whether or not something is good or bad for the species? killing hurts the human population, thus seeming evil. helping the poor seems good, because it helps humans prosper and reproduce. good and evil are bound into us to keep us from destroying ourselves. but if you look outside of the human perspective, you can see that good and evil are nothing but animal instincts. when you detach yourself from human views, you can finally see the truth. good and evil don't really exist.
