JDog, JDub here...perfect that you join now because you have until 28 to join active duty USAF, but your goals in life should determine which service you choose. Do you want to be an officer or enlisted? Speak with an USAF recruiter and return here to validate what they tell you from real USAF airmen.

If that is something you want to do, then sure. Find out as much as you can about because once you sign, you're in for the long haul. You can't change your mind. So, make sure it's something that you want to do. My sister is in the Air Force. The Air Force is not sent overseas at teh same rate as the Marines and the Army so you may not ever have to go, but don't count on that, either. My sister has been in for 4 years and she's never been sent anywhere.

You are the only one who would be able to answer this question. However, since you are asking the question, you are at least considering it and therefore you should check into the opportunities and drawbacks of joining. Good luck on your decision.

um, if you want to. you need to determine what you want out of life, and then figure out the path to get there. it's hard to determine from what you posted if the air force would be a good choice for you.

Go ahead. Yet, with all the political turmoil you may be sent overseas right away.
