I don't understand SNR. When I read Wiki (ofcourse the best reference on earth ;) ) - It saids that it is the ratio of meaningful information to noise. I need to use SNR with imaging modalities. And this is confusing because many things happen during the imaging process. For example a CT or MRI scanner has very complicated techniques to reconstruct the picture from the basic signals. It may use filtering, averaging, back projection, interpolation -who knows what more... but the original signal- information is manipulated: So at what stage should you measure SNR if you want it to reflect the qualitity of your imaging modality?

Another strange thing is that the SNR seems to reflect more what I am measuring rather than the measuring apparatus itself. For example if I measure velocity with something- the faster the thing goes the more signal I may get: so a higher SNR. -but this says nothing about the measurement apparatus itself.

Please help me to understand SNR.

That was my first thought when I found out what "pwn" meant.
Evidently, a programmer or game tester or both at one point and time accidentally put in "pwn" instead of "own".
When I first encountered this word I had no idea what it meant. Then, when I did, I asked "So a misspelled word is cool?" and got the answer back "R u serious?"
I'll admit after that I would pick on them after that I would insist that they were pawning people and would ask how much they get...this was usually met with much anger instead of good humor or "you're weird".
I know most of these were probably kids so I understand that they hate it when folks question anything they do kinda like we used to. But it still amuses me.
So is this funny, sad, or just another evolution of slang?

I always say that only God decides and many times I see people get thumbs down when they say something along the same line.
I just read 1 Timothy 4:10
"I mean that the point of all our toiling and battling is that we have put our trust in the living God and he is the Saviour of the whole human race but particularly of all believers."

I have an old computer that I have not used for about four years.I am trying to use it now but I forgot the password to start it.When I connect,it prompts me to enter my password.I have tried all my passwords but none seems to be working.Someone told me to press F1 or F2 immediately the computer is startin to reset the password.
Can anybody tell me the best way?

Sometimes musicians are their own biggest enemy, and we discuss them here on almost a daily basis. The modern examples (i.e. Britney) are more commonly discussed, but they are hardly the first - since musicians have been around, they have been getting into trouble...with the law, their spouses, the fans, etc. And in quite a few cases it has impacted their popularity of their music and damaged their relationship with those who support them.

So here is (hopefully) the more positive side of all of this. What musician do you think has made the greatest comeback musicially after failing the fans in their personal lives? And it is truly possible for the fans to forgive and forget?

okay i live in a complex and i live alone.
my dishwasher keeps getting water back up in it and it's dirty water!
i use to use my dish washer 1 time a week!

They said the reason why it don't work is because i dont use it enought. i never had this problem at the other place in the same complex i down sized!

I have called them back to drain that stinky water out and asked them to fix it!
told them i'll run it all the time but i need it fixed!

i think the maintance guy was well not doing his job!
What are my options?

well my bf and i have been using the pull out method for a while now.. but every month.. i kept getting my period..
well usually i start cramping really bad... and then usually the same day or the very next day i get my period..

but this month... i started cramping a week before my period was due on and off... and then 2 days before the start date.. i started cramping like i always do.. it felt like my period was gonna gush out any second.. but then now its the 3rd day and no period.. and the cramping is completely gone..

last weekend... i woke up one morning.. and had really dizziness.. nausea.. and a big headache.. but then i asked some ppl and they said its most likely a head flu or something.. but then i took a nap again n it went away.. since then it has gone... but then last night while eating.. i almost gagged on my food.. and put my head down to throw up but then the feeling went away..

besides that ive been feeling this tightening.. stretching sensation movement in my lower abdomen area...

my boobs arent sore.. but for the past week.. i had some shooting pains in them on and off..


also am gassy and constipated..

besides that everything else is fine.. but ive been noticing that im in some areas on my arms and stuff the hair is growing darker and thicker..

last period was nov 23 and the dates we had sex were nov 25,nov30,dec5,dec10 (what date could of gotten me pregnant if i am) and plz let me know if these are symptoms or not? im on a 28/29 day cycle.. regular never missed
