Its difficult to say, but I would honestly say yes. Already look at how many people have responded...
I'd like to see someone make the argument it is helping add to the morality of the country.

I think that it reflects the moral decline of our society and does NOT contribute. Honestly, having a child is not a bad thing either, you just have to be responsible and be involved. My sister got pregnant at 16 and is the best mother (besides my own) that I know. I think that it depends more on the woman having the child as to whether her pregnancy is wise or not. Society as a whole has become more accepting of having a child outside of wedlock (or has it just changed that we get married older now?) and there are plenty of options as far as adoption go. Her pregnancy is NOT the end of HER world and I think it's a noble thing for her to take responsibility. I wish her all the luck and love in the world.

No, I think its just another story about a teen pregnancy.
And I dont think there is such a thing as a moral decline happening right now. It seems like every generation goes on and on about how things are going down hill. Ive been hearing it for decades. The truth is, everything stays about the same, we just have a different persepective on it. As we get older we tend to see the world in a less idealized manner, and hold this nostalgic feeling about our childhoods as though we grew up in the 'good old days' when things were better. I think this makes it seem to us like the world is going to hell in a handbasket, but that certainly doesn't make it true.
Some teen skank got knocked up. So what.

I don't know why everyone is so worried about Jamie Lynn Spears getting pregnant. There are teen girls out there who are getting pregnant at much younger ages; just because she is a celebrity we have to go all crazy about it. It was her choice, she should be able to try and live through this situation without half of the world criticizing her about it.

How on earth did this question appear I cannot see why some ones pregnancy would add to the decline of morality.
Morality is taught to children same as respect but alas todays society and all the goody two shoes are making sure its not possible to enforce that in the privacy of you own home.
If the Parents are druggies well we then as now have a whole society who have no idea right from wrong and thats really sad

No. It will contribute to the deliquency of minors. She has said that it is regrettable and she does not condone that behavior. but still, she did it. I hope and pray for her not to take the same road Brittany did. I think she is aq cute girl with a brite future. Based on what I have seen, I think she did a decent job with it. Morality has been on the decline long before this.

No, just the decline of the Spears family. If you think this twit contributes anything other than a 120 second story on Entertainment Tonight, you need to broaden your horizons.

Is Jamie Lynn the first ever girl to fall pregnant at 16?? NO, so things will carry on as they are already going. Let's hope she is a better mother than Britney.
