If not, why have missionaries?

Why not just do good for the sake of doing good (or is that just silly)?

I feel it has less value. It teaches that Jesus is holy, whereas, there is no G-d but G-d and Jesus is not Him.

Missionaries are the worse things that could happen. It is great for people to go and educate and help with medicine to people who lack this. But, when it is done to convert them------this is a horrible thing to happen. These people have their own lives and beliefs-----do not ruin them.

This is an excellent question. I am a fairly orthodox Christian, but I am not totally comfortable with evangelism. I do think there are some belief systems that the world could do without. However, there are others that seem to contain a kernel of truth and I am not sure that replacing them with One World Religion is what God wants for the world.

On the other hand, are there any non-Christian nations that you would want to live in? Not me. It seems that our ancestors must have gotten something right, given that they built the most prosperous and liveable societies on Earth. To some extent, I think you do have to judge the tree by its fruit.

No Christian beliefs do not have more "value" than other beliefs. If someone says "yes" than they are not as "Christian" as they "think" they are. That, in my opinion, would be judging, which we are not to do.

I think everyone is entitled to believe what they want/need to. If only everyone could do good just for the sake of doing good, it would make the world so much easier to live in.

Doing "good" makes one feel good, so why don't more people do good just for the sake of doing good? Why does someone have to have a reason? Doesnt make sense.

Two replies to the 2 parts of your question. And they are related.

1) Christian beliefs have more value if they are true
2) Good for good's sake -- as the Bible says (and the early Greek philosophers if that has more weight for you) : Many are the ways that seem right to a man that lead only to death. -- and that is one of those rare biblical statements made more than once in the Bible, presumably because it is so important.

Christianity has nothing to do with belief. Worshiping a belief is idol worship. God is not a belief. To be Christian is to have a true relationship with the living God.

Truth absolves distrust. Belief and disbelief are indistinguishable. We will only trust what we know.

One will only trust God once they know God. Without that trust there is only true disbelief (distrust!).

God is the truth above every belief / disbelief.

No belief has anymore or less value than any other belief.

The only way a religion would not have any value is if it did not lead you into eternal relationship with God. However, that certainly will no bearing on the eventuality man. Once he comes to pass the physical man will cease to exist assured, and he will only be left to the demise of his own spirit.

You reap what you sow. No matter what people will believe the truth affects all of mankind judiciously.

No, but that isn't reason to not have missionaries. Missionaries are meant to spread the word they consider truth to those who haven't heard it. They also do more than just preach to people though...they bring medicine, knowledge, skills, etc. to those that may not have those things.

Know the truth makes YOU free of beliefs of religions.
Pure religion arrived undefiled & remained unspotted,
in his come and go "visit" unto all those ppl "afflicted",
with a bad case of grace + law = life + death = dead.

POINT: Law: "both good and evil" notably ends evil.
Grace: good only x6, and very good 7th, ends good.

His Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

Based on scripture, eternal life is offered as a marriage contract from YHVH. Take His name, and follow His rules. Seems like a good deal to me, but "Christians" have refused to accept it.

Fanatical Christians certaintly believe so.

Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through him.
