It doesn't make sense. Does eating a pretzel clean your teeth? Do you beleive it or not. Besides feeding your cat only dry will lead to dehyrdration and urinary tract infection.

I tried to copy the CD that one of the brother's downloaded onto my computer. Was going to bring it into work and print it off for tonight's meeting, because our printer at home doesn't work. But apparently I cannot open the software here.....and need to print. Can anyone help me.

I read that you are not supposed to be around microwaves while pregnant, but I don't know if they mean not to be around them while they are on, or not to eat food that has been cooked in one, or both. I don't really use one at home, but I to at work every day. Does anyone know? Thanks

we've all heard the story about the kid crying to his mom about how god doesn't answer prayers. he tells his mom of something that he really wanted. only to later find out that he didn't get it. his mom explains to him that god does answer every prayer, it's just that this time his answer was "no". my question is sort of two parts. one, is there anyway to know whether or not god will answer yes, or is it pretty much left up to chance? and two, when god does answer no, does this mean he has influenced every factor that goes into you getting what you want so you don't get them, or does he leave it up to chance as well?

My in laws live on the West Coast, my husband and I live on
the East Coast. In our marriage of 3 years, I've always felt that my MIL does not really like me because of subtle things that she has said/done since I've known her, but I've always tried to be polite to her and do the right thing. 2 christmases ago she sent our (my husband, me and our one year old) our 'gifts' (of the six or so knick knacks, half were USED and one was a book on how to live on less money than you think - the actual title!) in a box, all UNWRAPPED that arrived at our house on Dec. 4th. Told my husband she was 'too busy' to wrap anything. Wrote a thank you note (not snide) despite this. Last year, the ONLY gift to my husband and me was a calendar that she received as one of the 'freebies' you get when you subscribe to a newsletter, and it was wrapped in the 'freebie' xmas paper they provided (had their logo on it), with no tag, just written on the paper 'For John and Elizabeth'. What gives?! How to handle?

In my city, many of our best, most intelligent Pagans are homosexuals, often after they were run away from the Christianity they were born in. For this I am happy, because these, my pagan brothers and sisters, have really enriched the Pittsburgh Pagan scene with new ideas, ritual, and specific perpective on the gods that I, a straight white man, don't often have. How about in your community?

i had such a vivid dream last night. it began with 2 of my closest friends writing their names on an old wall in the middle of the woods. suddenly their two partners came and started behaving strangely. they begin to realise the wall was sacred and then all of a sudden my dream goes to one of my friends boyfriends. he starts cutting his hands with a pair of scissors and it seems as though he cant stop. it changes from here and i am working in some sort of clapped out grocery store, my friends boyfriend walks in and starts snipping his hands in front of me. the thing is the snipping noise was so loud- i can still hear it now when i think about it

as you can imagine the dream scared the hell out of me.

can anyone tell me what this means?

When I was about 8, I was playing outside by myself. It was fall afternoon in Massachusetts so there were a lot of leaves. I was playing next to a fence that separated this old house no one lived in. It was abandoned and the teenagers used to go in there to see if they would get scared. I was playing and all of a sudden I saw something move very fast behind the fence. To describe it, it looked as if there was a string hidden under the leaves and something was pulling it up. So it looked like something running on top of the leaves except I couldn’t see it. I tried to run but I was completely frozen on the spot. I tried and tried but could not move. I remember tears rolling down my face because I was so scared and could not run. Then all of a sudden I could run. It was like someone un-paused a movie. I ran so fast that I almost fell forward from running too fast. I ran in the house and my mother asked me what was wrong. I said nothing and ate my dinner.

They seem to have a systemic hatred of pensions in general, but this is really bad. Why is that?

The government has rejected a plan to let women boost their state pensions by buying up to nine years' worth of extra National Insurance (NI) contributions.

In July, the government indicated it would probably support this, so women could make up for years spent at home looking after children or relatives.

Now the idea has been dropped, angering pension campaigners.

The charity Help the Aged was equally upset.

"In what amounts to an abuse of Parliament, the government has reneged on a promise to help millions of women and carers reaching state pension age between now and 2010," said Anna Pearson, the charity's policy manager .

"The decision... is effectively a stab in the back for women and carers," she added.
