Ah Nige - I was waiting for someone to spout their vile hatred so obviously born of jealousy.

Bless you, you didn't disappoint.

Anyways, as a Scot living in England there are a lot of differences, but we are more alike than you think. I do find Scottish people have a much drier, quicker wit but most people here seem to love my biting sarcasm.

I love English people, even you Nige, because despite some if you being wildly arrogant, most of you are lovely.

The differences between England and Scotland are tremendous. Scotland is a backward country, with mean, small minded people who seem to be stuck in the middle ages. The weather there is awful, which might explain their rather miserable demeanour and lack of any sense of humour, taste or style. Their education and health care systems are inferior to most western countries, which may explain why so many Scots appear to be entrenched in the victim culture. Their whining accents are a pain to listen to too.
England is a culturally superior country that is tolerant of the bleeding heart Scots because we know they can't help themselves.

Government different, and that's about it.

I can't wait for the 'Jocks are all manky' type of answers. That'll be the ignorant types thinking they're amusing.

Edit - and for the type of answer I've mentioned, see Nige.

Hehe first answer is funny. They also eat hotdogs sticking out of mashed potatoes in England. This is actually a good question. The sheeps parts is actually called haggis, and its filled with cabbage and other innards, cooked INSIDE the stomach.
