Not everyone does this, but many people do. I'm not interested in solving the problem, because I have my own ways of dealing with it, I am simply interested in the reasons why some people behave this way. Call it a poll if you want, I'm just curious.

i read a series of books when i was at school and they were from the school library so i know they are suitable for teenagers. there was about 3 or 4 of them and they were about a girl who moved house and she met some new people. one was called diana and she introduced her to a coven. she also met a guy and as time went on she found out that witchcraft was in her blood. also that someone they thought was evil turns out to be her father. does anyone know the name of these books?

I consider myself a man of science. Throughout my life, I have alternately believed in God, but eventually, the scientist in me tells me there's no such thing and that God is merely a character in an old story and nothing more. I've grappled with this quite a bit to figure out if there is a middle ground where science and faith can at least meet halfway, but the issue seems to require an "all or nothing" type of answer.

Before anyone quotes me scripture, I'm QUITE familiar with that book, since I come from a family where one side is Southern Baptist (I'm talking "olde time religion" kind of Baptist) and the other side is Catholic.

What are your thoughts on this?

IS there a middle ground or compromise between the two principles?

My finance and I lived in SC, but had to move to NC for his job. We got someone to take over our lease. Our landlord said that was fine and had the new tenant sign the papers. Now she is calling me 2 months after we've left and said that the tenant has not paid her rent (even though she let her move in), and that we are responsible for the lease. Is this right? I thought once the new woman had signed the papers, she was responsible for our lease from that point on whether she paid or not. Our old landlord said the lease was not binding unless the new tenant paid, and she has not paid anything. Please help. Thanks!

Energy can niether be created nor destroyed. A principle of physics if that is true then there has to be a God, because where did that energy come from? Ok now look at the odds of our exsistance, our position in the universe, space, and timing.
The odds are .000000000000000000000000 x.000000000nth to infinity to 1 that we even exsit at all. So something must have created us. Then how can I prove God spoke us into exsistance with words. Well what are we made of? Organs, cells, organelles, chromosomes, atoms break that down and you have protons, neutrons, and electrons. Now break that down you have energy break energy down you just have a wavelength of energy now what is sound a wavelength of energy. In the Bible God said Let there be Light and there was Light. God spoke words and made it happen and we are living proof of that. So everything we think in this life why not rethink the truth that was written several thousand years ago in the Bible? Can you prove it wrong?

Last time I checked, we are animals too. 4.5 billion people don't believe in the Bible (and it's just a book). No animal even knows what the Bible is. Is this what you believe in - slavery? You control living, feeling, thinking beings against their will, and they never gave you permission to be controlled.
