Well it is really not made per say but I think what would affect the world more than anyone can imagine would be if the Internet were shut down.
I guess for the physical part would be if computers were no longer made.

Television has changed everything, Ipods have stunned the world of music and game consoles have changed the world of gaming...but none of these get my vote. I'm 13 and I think that a world without any of these things would be really boring but if I could replace these with one item that does ALL of these items' fonctions everything would suddenly be alright.
Think of an item that lets us communicate.
Think of an item that lets us play games.
Think of an item that lets us listen to music.
Think of an item that lets us watch media items.
Combine all these things and theres only one invention that is capable of doing all of these tasks:
THE COMPUTER
How else would I answer this question!
It would certainly make things alot more difficult!
