Last time I checked, we are animals too. 4.5 billion people don't believe in the Bible (and it's just a book). No animal even knows what the Bible is. Is this what you believe in - slavery? You control living, feeling, thinking beings against their will, and they never gave you permission to be controlled.

This is not just a Christian belief, it is a belief of mankind. We live on planet earth, not the planet of the apes. Like it or not, we are the dominant species. Whether you believe our dominance is God given or an evolutionary right that we have earned does not matter. We are dominant. That does NOT, however, mean that we control all of the animals. The vast majority of them are free and wild and live life on their own terms. The few that have been domesticated are usually in a mutually beneficial relationship with us. And, when my dog gets out, runs around for a while, and then CHOOSES to come home, she is giving me permission to control her to the extent that that is possible.

Read Genesis....

we are senescent beings capable of complex thought, logic and compassion....

we are the care takers of this world....animals are for the most part on automatic pilot...they do everything by instinct and interaction within their environment....

a farm animal plows the field, the pig is a trash compactor, the vulture takes care of the dead, shrimp and lobster clean the water of waste...

some dogs are trained as specialty service animals. After this specialized training ...police, search and rescue, drug task dogs, medical alert animals......

within their frame work of training these animals do "think" and reason....

all of creation knows and acknowledges the creator.....every species shows this by the "pack" order...the Alpha...the leader....

"I AM is the Alpha and the Omega".........the creator....

permission to be controlled?? he who holds the can opener is in controll.....meow....

A) Do NOT mistake domination for dominion.

B) God gave mankind DOMINION over the Earth and all the things thereof. Presumably that includes animals.

C) But we blew that gift when our ancestors disobeyed whatever it was that they disobeyed that ticked Him off.

D) That gift is once again available to those who follow Christ. Sadly, most of them never figure that out.

E) The difference between "dominion" and "domination" is:
1} dominion is to the world as love is to the loved one. It is nurturing, caring for, helping and guarding.
2} domination is control by whatever means are available, including force majeure.

Hope this clarified things a tad.

People are not animals at all. Every person is of infinitely more value that all the animals combined. People are made in the image of God. Animals are not.

Salvation is offered for people.

The only way to be saved and go to heaven and not eternal hell is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

It's not just Christians that feel this way. Many other religious and non-religious people believe this as well. Cruelty to animals is unforgivable and can not be excused by any religious belief.

We are animals, but Christians aren't the only ones to fall into the falacy that we are "God's greatest Creation," or as many scientists call it "Evolution's greatest Creation." The fact is, Monkey is just as evolved as we are, so it Starfish (who doesn't die of old age) and chipmunk, and Elephant, and Cherry Tree, and Grass, and Hawk. We are all evolutionary equals, each well designed to survive on this planet.

Genesis 9:1-2

Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.

We are human.

Animals are animals.

Genesis chapter 1 is clear. Have dominion over the animals. Check it out.

We (humans) can not control anything that God does not give us control over.

Grace and peace to all.

That's the defining cornerstone of christianity.

They think that humans, among all of the creatures on earth, are somehow special - part of 'Gods plan'.

It's typical egocentric, megalomaniacal tripe.
