please can anyone help me with this dream?

i had such a vivid dream last night. it began with 2 of my closest friends writing their names on an old wall in the middle of the woods. suddenly their two partners came and started behaving strangely. they begin to realise the wall was sacred and then all of a sudden my dream goes to one of my friends boyfriends. he starts cutting his hands with a pair of scissors and it seems as though he cant stop. it changes from here and i am working in some sort of clapped out grocery store, my friends boyfriend walks in and starts snipping his hands in front of me. the thing is the snipping noise was so loud- i can still hear it now when i think about it

as you can imagine the dream scared the hell out of me.

can anyone tell me what this means?

the wierd thing is, i have never met my friends boyfriend, she lives away now, and met him up where she lives. i have only ever heard good things about him, iv seen 2 pictures of him.

i do not believe in the fact that dreams have some sort of symbolism or hidden meanings.however, i do believe that when you have a weird dream your subconscious is playing tricks on you, you may be worried about something and don't know about it.

the only advise i can give you is to calm down and think of what may have led your head to produce that dream.

oh and you should write it down somewhere. you don't have to keep it just write it to make sure you won't have it again. i usually have a recurrent dream when somebody is at my door, i lock the door and when i turn around that somebody is right behind me and i blame that on my mania with locking the door twice and checking 2-3 times per night if i've locked it.

I'm having trouble getting a line on this, but I will throw out a few thoughts for you to consider and mull over....
Writing is about communication. Your friends wrote on a wall that turned out to be sacred, so it seems to be about a communication that was inappropriate, and/or destructive, and they suffered repercussions for it.
The old phrase "The writing is on the wall" came to mind. This is a very old phrase, and I had to go look it up where it even came from. It comes from the Bible, from the book of Daniel. The gist of the writing was an admonishment. There is an element of guilt in this dream, it would seem to be a shared guilt among your group for an inappropriate communication of some kind. Hands are also a symbol of communication, and your friends are trying to cut off their hands. Again I sense an element of guilt here. Grocery store represents choices....

Strange that one of the people carrying on this way is someone you have never even met... It seems that your friends are the ones doing the harm, but as part of it coming back on them, it seems to be harming their loved ones also. Think back. Can you think of something that happened before your friend moved away? Something like a destructive rumor, or an untrue blog entry, or some other kind of communication that was destructive or inappropriate that may have been shared by your group before she left?

in the bible, and for centuries people tried to get forgiveness for there sins by standing at sacred walls and wailing for hours, or by physicaly harming themselves as punishment for their sins. your dream is a spiritual one that has meaning. I am not a sure what exactly is going on, but I would look at the possibility that your friends partners are engaging in something that is very wrong. they both were at the wall and they both were cutting themselves. this doesn't mean that they want frogiveness, this could be a warning from God in order protect your friends and keep them from being led into something bad due to their relationships with this guys. I would definetly check things out, your friends are probably not aware of might be going on. go about it discretely.

Look back and try to remember if the boyfriend has done something you perceived as "bad". Anything to do with his hands, that you didn't approve of, no matter how minor. It could be your sub-concious trying to rectify the "wrong" by getting rid of his hands.

you should know that what happens in your dreams may just be representing something else, dreams are very complicate, I have been interpreting dream for over six years and I've learned that what happens in dreams may just me a representaion of something else.
