G&WS very frequently highlights the divisions between the genders. Abusive relationships. Childcare custody battles. Gold Diggers. The list goes on.

For all that, and with no prejudice to the answers, what do you believe? Are most relationships fundamentally nurturing and healthy, or are they dysfunctional lives of quiet desperation. Perhaps somewhere in the middle?

There are no right or wrong answers here, I guess it is a question of your own outlook and experiences.

It would be really interesting to know why you believe what you believe too.

I am in love with a woman that I can not have which she is married with children. She is not happy in her marriage as the reason we sneak around to see each other. We have not have sex since seeing each other for the past month.

She says if she gets involved with me she will loose everything. We still see each other only if I insist. I leave notes of kindness for her but the last few notes she have ignored them. We work 3rd shift together and once that end she will go back to first shift and I may not see her again.

I am not sure if she is confused as to what she wants. I know she loves her children but not her situation. She seems to be doing everything on her own and never mentions her husband.

She is a beautiful and kind woman and I do not know what to do. I came to her second job at the advise of my friend and I believe that was a mistake.

How do a win a woman (hispanic) that is uncertain of things in her life. I will see her tomorrow night, what shoudl I do or say.

I wonder what you Christians conceive God of?

Do you feel God is as real as your mother or your five fingers on your hands?

Do you have the slightest of doubt that you might be mistaken or is there withour a shadow of a doubt that God is there?

If you are 100% certain that God is there as much as you know that you have five fingers on your hand then it is called "fact".

Is it hypocritical to say that you got faith that God is real when "faith" is only applied to the possibility and probability of something to be true.

All of you Christians would say that you are 100% certain that God exists thus saying that you got faith is contradicting your claims.

You wouldn't say that you got faith that you have five fingers because it is a fact.

If God is 100% real then it is a fact and not "faith".

So explain why you claim to have faith when you already know for a fact that God exists and how faith and fact can actually coexist.

Faith and fact can't coexist.

I'm 25 weeks pregnat now but I broke up with the father of the baby because he wanted to sleep with other people but still wanted to see me.. Well I called my mom and she helped me pack up and move in with my family.. Well a few days later I went over to talk to him and we desided we wanted to work on thing because 3.5yrs together was hard for either of us to throw away...
Well I got pregnat the doc said was a week after I left him... We have been working on things and I found out alot of stuff I didn't want to know about with him... He says his changing thing for me and he has changed something but I still don't trust him...
But right now his my only option to move out of my parents and quit smoking and so my babies not around 2nd hand smoke..
My 16yrs sister told me she doesn't care about the baby and wants nothing to do with it and my parents don't want to be at the hospital that day because his parents are there.. All because they treat him like trash even before this all happened.

The short and skinny of my situation is that I have a slight addition to pornography. I do not look at it often but every once in a while I will click on a website that I know about to see, lack of a better word, what is new. I have never tried to seek satisfation elsewhere but I do find myself pulled to this world. I have, not that it is a valid reason, been able to track the episodes to points where levels of stress are elevated and sexual relations have decreased between my wife and I. I have made major improvements in the amount that I use to watch but I have not been able to completely remove it from my life (either through spam or easy access to free sites).

Now that you know some of the history of my situation. I know that I have stumbled (and I do every 1-2 yrs) but does this make bad Husband and partner. There is nothing else that I do that one would view as unfaithful. Am I wrong and to what level would you consider it?

He acts like he likes me but he doesnt really. He sleeps about..hes even that desperate for some that he sleeps with the females staff at his army college! (but im not meant to know) ..He flirts with me in texts and when we're together he kisses me loadsss!! Even down my body and things go a bit further haha (NOT ALL THE WAY THOUGH) But anyways is he just a playa? I like him sooooooooo much && its like no matter what I do I cant get over him. He'll do something wrong and it some how turns round not to be his fault and I punish myself and he just traps me! A while back I was talking to my GF and she mentioned offhand that years back she was doing something on her step-fathers computer she found BDSM/bondage stories he had written.. and then later pieced together that her mother (whos dead now) and this guy were doing that kind of stuff together. Am I wrong to be a little weirded out by this?

First off no, i'm not a prude and I realize this isnt so uncommon these days..but come on, the guy is in his 50's, thats just a little ****** up. He lives a normal life, works for a local supermarket, no one knows about that side of things.. if me and her had kids one day I don't think i'd want them going near him just on general principle.

Now i'm not saying that people who have unorthodox sexual practices are by nature prone to bad behavior but I just don't trust the guy at all after finding that out.. its like, if someone can have that whole secret life going on, what else are people hiding these days?

I have known this girl for a while now, and I know, deep down in my heart that I love her, and she loves me, but not the same way. She loves me as her best friend, and I am just so heartbroken, because for the first year, she led me on, and then she told me she didn't want to lose our friendship by dating me. I am about to give up on love altogether because everyday I wake up and feel a huge, empty hole in my stomach. I've got a window-unit air conditioner running in my room, and really like to have the room cold at all times ( I drop it down to 65-67 at night) because the rest of the house is roasting, and I sleep MUCH better when it is cold. I'm in eastern Texas, and it usually does not drop a couple degrees lower than 32 at night.

I know that a lot of people take the aircon out during winter, but that is not an option, and I would highly prefer to be able to run it, rather than letting it sit immobilized. I recognize it is recommended not to keep it on, but our winters here are very light, so I am curious.

Can I safely do it? Sort of desperate, because there is no other way to cool the room anywhere near 67, and it gets too toasty to sleep comfortably.

Alternatively, I can set it to run on FAN, which circulates air and doesn't cool. Is that safer than running it on COOL? I'd rather it on cool, if possible. Help, please :)
