It quite pitful when I noticed change of behavior to my neighbors daughter. She was growing too fast beyond her age and body language told it all. Her mother had accused a man tempering with her daughter because she did not like the young man (18yrs)befriending her daughter thus the man is in on probation for sexual misconduct. Yet the mother allowed her daughter to flirt with another man almost her dad age because she was having affair with the man's brother behind her husband back. I caught her kissing and her daughter 14yrs is now pregnant, and had dropped out of school. I brought this to her father attention that I did not like his daughter behavior around my kids because she was too fast. Her father turned against me, calling me names, a predator, wanting her daughter etc but my concern was her behavior with her mother which was unusual for her age. My cousin works at the hospital, and my neighbor was there as a patient treated with "ghonoria" and blamed his wife without even.....

2) There will be wars and rumours of wars between nations and kingdoms (Matt.24, 6-7; Mark 13,7-8; Luke,21,9-10).
3) The first sorrows will be in the form of calamities: 'famines, pestilences and earthquakes in divers places', fearful sights and great signs from heaven (Matt.24,7-8; Mark, 13,8; Luke 21,11).
4) Orthodox Christians will be delivered up, killed and hated by all nations (Matt. 24,9; Mark 13, 9-11; Luke 21,12-15).
5) Everywhere men will hate and betray each other (Matt.24,10; Mark 13,12-13; Luke 21,16-17).
6) Many false prophets will appear and deceive many (Matt.24,11).
Seems straight forward apart from the Orthodox Christian bit (to me any way)
To anyone who follows a religion. Can you compare the first six with what is happening today?

ok so i cut myself right (but im NOT emo) my parents dont know and only a couple of my closest friends know. i dont cut deep enough to hit the veins but i cut deep enough for it to bleed nd leave a mark. What is a good spot to cut but where my family wont be able to see it easily? friends have ased how the marks got there and i am running out of excuses what can i say!!!!

"Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" was John the Baptist's cry of preparation for Jesus' ministry. Jesus said heaven rejoiced at one sinner's repentance and that churches needed to be zealous about repenting. Peter saw thousands respond to his plea to repent on Pentecost day. Paul said God commands all people everywhere to repent.
The Kingdom of Heaven means peace, joy and love. All three "came down" to Earth the night of Jesus' birth. Everyone who hungers for joy, love and peace hungers for a foretaste of heaven, whether they realise it or not, even irreligious people, for we are all Adam's children, driven out of paradise, longing to regain it. When we see a ray of paradise in others, we are attracted to it. We see that radiated in people with a spirit of adoration, who shine with joy and show forth God's love.
Is it true that only those who repent daily of their sins shine with Heaven's light? Can repentance bring the Kingdom of Heaven down into our lives?

Will anyone join me in a prayer for the two McCann parents this Christmas ? I have said a prayer for them and asked God to make it a little easier for them through Christmas day.
What they must going through coming up to Christmas must be agony beyond belief. Let's not castigate them anymore. They were idiots for leaving their baby alone.... but then who isn't an idiot one time or another ? Mea culpa, mea culpa, that's what I say.

sometimes, i just randomly feel sad, and to make it worst, sad thoughts come into my head and i make it worst by thinking about it and building it up in my mind. Is it normal to think about suicide? Sometimes i think about it, about what happens and methods. I have a friend who tried to, but did not succeed in it. I will never commit sucide because I believe that my soul will go to hell. Is there such as a thing as having brief periods of depression, or is it just a mental (emotional) breakdown?

I teach English in a University in Korea. I have an MA TESOL from a California State university. I have been at this university over 4 years. We get evaluated by students twice a semester. I have never been called in because of my evaluation and housing. The university provides housing.
My eval was not that bad (it has been worse), but my boss commented on some remarks. One remark was that a student said I was not an attractive man. I was told to be very careful about my appearance. Well I always wear a suit and tie, am clean and shaven. I am not Brad Pitt, but I am not ugly either (I am 54) much older than most of the teachers who are in their 20's. Also, i teach at a woman's university
I was questioned on my teaching ability and losing my passion?
My boss kept asking me if I wanted to quit. No! Not easy to find a position at 54- What to do???
