Many district attorney offices are dismissing/not filing charges "...at this time." so they can bring your case to a Grand Jury which basically seals your fate should they indicte you.

Hate to say it, but these are SERIOUS charges no matter where you live and you have every reason to be scared; it's too late to stop this from happening now. Possession of meth is a felony pretty much anywhere I've heard of or work with; that means a minimum of a year and max of 3, 5, or 7 years. The marijuana charges may be felony or misdemeanors; where you had it/sold it, how much, and other issues mean a lot here. You have a probation officer, is that from a previous crime? What was it? You see, it could vary. I would guess - bare minimum = 6 months, maximum = 3 years. BUT THAT'S ONLY A GUESS since I have NO idea what your history is nor the facts of this current case.

"What can you tell me...?" I can tell you to get your life turned around before you're dead. That's all.

The only ones who can tell you about those charges and indictments are your probation officer and your attorney. Not us.

The reason that you're scared is that that's who you should be: afraid of going back to the clink, and therefore unwilling to participate in the activities that you now know could wind up putting you back in there.

If the charges are from before your first meeting with your probation officer, then the only thing you need to fear is that an indictment will cause the retraction of your probation.

If it was SINCE being put on probation, then you really SHOULD be somewhere that you can't continue doing such things to yourself.
