i'm thinking of joining but i don't know which branch to join - the army or air force. on one hand i want to be active and work (army) but then i consider myself good with computers and i heard that's basically what the air force does. the army also interests me because i get to handle weapons. so my questions are:

1. what are the oppurtunties in the air force? is there anything besides sitting around working with computers and radar?
2. do you think the air force will ever be reintegrated back into the army, considering the only thing the air force has going for it is fighter planes.
3. what happened to the cavalry? does it still exist?
4. besides infantry, armor and green berets, what other positions are there in the army?

This means no Chris Rock, Dane Cook, Eddie Izzard, Russell Peters etc. I'm looking for more up and coming comedians or ones who have flown fairly under the radar. Please give me their Myspace profiles if they have one.

My favorites are

the bible goes to lengths to prove Jesus of Nazareth as the true messiah by tracing his geneology back from King David all the way up to Joseph.
But surely Jesus is supposed to be the son of God and was born of immaculate conception and not of Joseph?
Am I alone in spotting this as yet another glaring error in the suposedly flawless word of God?

Have a bad opinion on Canon in D major. The reason people go on about it is because not many other pieces sound better. I don't care if it's simple and there are harder pieces to play, those pieces do not sound better and you know it.
It's about the music, not how fast a piece requires you to move your hands.

A contractor in Cleveland found $182,000 of Depression Era money inside a bathroom wall in Cleveland as he was remodeling the bathroom for a high school friend. Now the contractor is trying to claim the money as his. Do you think it is ethical for him to try claiming the money as his? According to the story, Ohio has a "finders keepers" law that applies if it appears any owner will reappear to reclaim it. Peter Dunne own the house during the Depression Era and one of the boxes had P Dunne on it. I would think that law applies to Peter Dunne and his family and not to Reece the current owner of the house. To me, I would think the money would become the property of the owner of the house after the original owner (Peter Dunne) had not come back to claim it after a certain number of years. I could see the contractor maybe getting a small percentage (say 10%) for finding it. But to me that's like stealing out of a person's house. What is your view and why?

How many here have been Christian and becaome Pagan and vice-versa and why?

I was a Christian myself, many years ago, and found it never fitted or should I say, 'I' never fitted...The round peg in a square whole thing.

I've described it as like a pair of shoes. Chrsitianity never fitted right, always felt uncomfortable...Where as Paganism is like a pair of lovely old slippers :D

Anyone else?

A little girl and her mother were out and about.

Out of the blue, the girl asked her mother, "Mommy, How old are you?"

The mother responded, "Honey, women don't talk about their age. You'll learn this as you get older."

The girl then asked, "Mommy, how much do you weigh?"

Her mother responded again, "That's another thing women don't talk about. You'll learn this, too, as you grow up."

The girl, still wanting to know about her mother, then fired off another question, "Mommy, why did you and Daddy get a divorce?"

The mother, a little annoyed by the questions, responded, "Honey, that is a subject that hurts me very much, and I don't want to talk about it now."

The little girl, frustrated, sulked until she was dropped off at a friend's house to play. She consulted with her girlfriend about her and her mother's conversation.

The girlfriend said, "All you have to do is sneak a look at your mother's driver's license. It's just a like a report card from school. It tells you everything."

Later, the little girl and her mother were out and about again.

The little girl started off with, "Mommy, Mommy, I know how old you are. I know how old you are. You're 32 years old."

The mother was very shocked. She asked, "Sweetheart, how do you know that?"

The little girl shrugged and said, "I just know. And I know how much you weigh. You weigh 130 pounds."

"Where did you learn that?"

The little girl said, "I just know. And I know why you and Daddy got a divorce. You got an 'F' in sex."
