Sometimes I say that I like it or could use it for something when I know I am not going to use it and don't like it either. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Don't get me wrong. I am always grateful that I was thought of.

Oh yes!! My son always saves up his money and buys me a surprise and it is nearly always something really tacky that I would never give house room under any other circumstances!!
But when I open it my face will glow with joy and my excited "how lovely a flourescent pink glittery dolphin ornament it's exactly what we need to brighten up the living room" will ring with truth!!

I have to admit I do with one certain persons gift to me, I know full well that I'm getting something she hated off one of her friends so she passes it on to me as my Christmas gift, wouldn't mind but she makes it so obvious too, wish I could be as mean to her.

Depends on who is giving them to me. Some of my friends are on a low budget and I really appreciate presents from them.
What I don't like are the ones that brag all year about how much they are earning and how great their job is and they give crappy stuff like an economy multipack of knickers in colours black, white and beige. Where's was the thought in that. I'd rather they didn't give me anything at all... "wow thanks you shouldn't have... no I mean it, you shouldn't have"

of course i fake it. I seem to only get socks nowadays lol. So im like excellent what i wanted. And i have not been busted yet. But i use them so spose its a good gift

Sometimes, if its something small that I don't mind not returning but if its something big then its a waste to lie about liking it!!
