Its a bit hard to quit smoking. I am an ex-smoker and had been a non-smoker for more than 5 years. It needs alot of will to quit its not just quiting. Nicotine is addicting. The problem is you and you mom are passive smokers inhaling second hand smoke. Tell your dad to quit or smoke outside so that you will not inhale his smoke.

Understand that a smoker is a person hooked with the cigarette. Being hooked is being addicted. A person is addicted because his body constantly seeks the aroma, taste and the relaxing feeling of smoking. Research shows that it's the residue (of tar and nicotene) that urges the person to light up. What you can do is not to panic because a smoker doesn't die immediately. It takes a number of years before something go wrong with the smoker's body. What you can do is to do your homework. Research how you can help your father fights off the side effects of smoking. You can also inform your mother that she should not come close to your father when he is smoking. For examples, you can advise your father to drink plenty of water, take vitamins, eat fruits and visit his doctor once in a while. You may also advise your father to use smokeless ashtray, install an exhaust fan in the living room, or an air-cleaning unit, etc. There are many things you can do as stop-gap measures while you bombard your father with literatures on the bad effects of smoking. By the way, there a candy product available in the market that can help control smoker's urge.
I'm sure your father also wants to quit but it's not as easy as that. It has a process that takes time so be very patient.

No!! You have to do something quick! I used to had a grandpa like that then the doctors had to chop off both his legs! From drinking and smoking. But, he passed away now from heart attack and had to take alot of pills to make him heal but he just got weaker and weaker... I'm telling the truth now

It's hard to stop smoking. Lots of people die beacuse of it, my grandmother did - from lung cancer. So it can happen. But there are lots of people that smoke and are ok! Why not trying to sit down with him and talk to him about how concerned you are about him??

Not your problem. It is up to them if they want to smoke. Quit worrying so much. They are the adults, not you.
