I am setting up a giving tree for Toys for Joy in my high school. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for gifts for children ages 1-15 for under $15. Thanks.

There is this guy I am really interested in. He reminds me of a really good friend that I lost 2 years ago. Even though I like this guy I also have someone else I am interested in. I also have a friend who is also my roommate. This friend of mine I really like, but she is forceful, bossy and controlling. She is always trying to tell me what to do, blames me for everything, and acts as if I should always do what makes her happy. Though she will say its not that.

These two people do not get along he feels she is spoiled. She came in with a really bad attitude, he retaliated and they arguing. She blames me because he was my choice of a friend, and that I should have told him off for disrespecting her. I feel like it was between them, and I have no control over it.

I know she really wants me to stop being around him at all, but I am sick of catering to her wishes. I have no idea what to do at this point, and I need a little help.

DENIAL OF THE HOLOCAUST

ABC has just asked: do we have 'tangible evidence' of the Holocaust?

So my invitation is this: if ABC would like, I will arrange for him to speak with, or email with, a relative of mine who was himself in Auschwitz and who lost his entire family there.

Would ABC like to accept?

I'm not sure why he feels that the MOUNTAINS of 'tangible' evidence that we already have is not sufficient but there you go. My offer stands.

Most South Africans speak English, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll understand what they're talking about. South African English has a flavor all of its own. What words do you know of that is generally accepted as "English"?

Hi
I really need some help about Plato views on womens ability to love. I am strugling to find examples except for the symposium, and I am lacking much of an argument to say they did have the ability! I also finding hard to understand how the framework in which plato writes affects his views and whether the views expressed is a failure on plato/socrates' fault to actualy find true love........
I have done lots of reading of journals and books, but still seem to be coming up against a brick wall so any help would be great!
Thank you in advance!

I often see people giving attributes of emotion to their spirituality.

Emotion, though, is a chemical and neurological process in the central nervous system, a response to stimulus.

What differentiates the spirit from emotions?

I just read in an English Elementary School text book that it is one of our customs. I've never seen this. Have you?

Alot of questions have been geared towards baiting atheists into the "Why would you celebrate Christmas" thing lately.

I've had my differences with alot of non-believers here.....and I know there are those who would rather I just go away.

But as Christians......why don't we reach out to the atheist by saying this:

"We love you........and we hope that you have a wonderful Christmas this year......regardless of what you believe?"

Thanks,

Primo

Sure, why not? Who wouldn’t be up for one? Crazy as it sounds, I’ve always had more fun on all road trips than any vacation to exotic locales. Invariably, there’s always one song you heard on the radio that sort of crystallizes the experience in your mind forever. In other words, you hear this particular song and it takes you right back to that time and place. So, my question is what are the songs you connect to certain road trips from your past?

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult – Sex on Wheels – 1991 – Los Angeles – The perfect song to listen to while cruising down Sunset Blvd. Also, this was my first visit to the City of Angels.

Alice In Chains – Them Bones – 1992 – Kansas City – An unusual pairing for sure. I had some friends with ties to KU, plus it was Halloween weekend. Little did I realize what you could get away with inside a haunted house.

311 – Transistor – 1997 – Cleveland – I was there to catch The White Sox at the Jake. This was the shortest of the three trips for me but I must have heard this song five times in little more than a 24-hour period. The Flats never did recover from the damage done.

It is generally accepted that the South African town's name means "French Corner", but "Fransch" definitely doesn't mean "French" in Afrikaans, does it?

A mother communicates with her months old baby in this way:
drink nicely, girl, you are a little lady / No, you can't do that / Behave yourself; it's a shame / Time for bed/bath / I don't want to hear that again / You have done a good job....
It amazes me how things have changed as compared to our time when babies were brought up in another way. Does it sound logic there isn't any baby talk for a baby now ?

I understand a foot pound is the kenetic energy required to lift one pound one foot. A .30-06 has a rating of 2,829 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle. I can't believe the .30-06 cartridge could lift a ton and a half one foot off the ground. So, what do these ratings really mean? How do the manufactures compute there findings?
