i asked for a proof of payment and this was the confirmation i got back.....i just had no time to check it out....will do so and call the bank

I just love the question you have to guess at what they are asking.

Have you ever done business with this bank? Did you request someone to put money in this bank for you? If not there is no legal way someone else can open an account for you.

If you did not request it, it's a SCAM. I've got over $6,000,000 in lottery winnings from three lotteries I've won in the UK, they are waiting for me to wire $6,000 so they can process and send me the winnings.
Unless YOU requested the info, of course it's fake.

Confrimation for what? What were you transacting? Call the bank directly to verfiy this.

If you have not done business with them, then it is a scam. There was a similar question last week.

uhh duh, if you got any banking information via email, its false. Don't respond just mark it as junk.
