DENIAL OF THE HOLOCAUST

ABC has just asked: do we have 'tangible evidence' of the Holocaust?

So my invitation is this: if ABC would like, I will arrange for him to speak with, or email with, a relative of mine who was himself in Auschwitz and who lost his entire family there.

Would ABC like to accept?

I'm not sure why he feels that the MOUNTAINS of 'tangible' evidence that we already have is not sufficient but there you go. My offer stands.

ABC's original post is in Israel section, under Travel, if anyone wants to read it - it's answering the question titled 'Holocaust denial'

CHEERFUL CHARLES - shalom and you are right of course, millions of non Jews also perished. ABC's comments are offensive to the memories of all that the Nazis slaughtered and tortured.

paperback--the former mayor of my little town helped liberate one of the camps as a young soldier in WWII. It was the pivotal moment in shaping his life. He was also one of the ones ordered to take a camera and document what he saw. There are still periodic displays of these photos to remind the younger generations in our town of the reality of this event.

We are a little southern US town that most people would dismiss as "redneck" but we apparently know more than ABC.

I am sad when this sort of question comes up because I don't think the questioner really understands the hurt that they create when they ask it. I am not a Jew but I have many friends that are and I know that the Holocaust has left an indelible mark on them and many others.
Without wishing to lessen the enormity of the crime against the Jewish people let us not forget that Hitler's 'final solution' also resulted in the death of many people that he regarded as untouchables like gypsies.
Shalom. Peace

I'm behind you all the way. IN this world, I am now 56, I don't like a lot of the way it is run compared to the 50's and 60's, people just don't seem to want to believe much, it is very weird. and I think the biggest problem might be that people are "all about themselves" and they don't ask and answer from the heart. I am not blaming young people, I think this greedy old world tries to suck the life out of all of them and they did not have the nice 50-60's when people operated a ton more from the heart instead of greed, which over all leads to "teaching the younger generation to live in fear of what is going to happen to them and it makes them angry and anxious and I feel like they got 'cheated"./ Ok, off my soapbox. good luck

How sad :-( I don't know of any of my own family that underwent Hitler's regeme. My parents never really talked about it. They were from Hungary and Germany.

People today try so hard to deny history so they can favor themselves! This is nothing less than intellectual suicide!

Yeah - I would like to see ABC accept your challenge - er - offer.

But what happens when the last of that generation finally dies out? Will OUR voices be enough? Or will it happen again because people don't learn from history, but rather deny it? (my heart is in pain over this!)

The only reason one would deny the reality of the Holocaust is to promote an agenda of hate to make the very existence of Jews illegitimate..and esentially carry on the work OF the Holocaust.

They reveal themselves as embracing the worst of human nature. Pitiful, truly pitiful.

ABC is quite possibly a member of Scientology, although I deplore the fact they try and associate the word science with their cult. All holocaust deniers are deluded and as such tend to be easy prey for cults.

Denial of the Holocaust? It must be a hoax or error. Otherwise it is just an insane thought.

People who deny the holocaust aren't in denial. They just don't have a clue what they are talking about.

ABC is picking on Jewish people. Maybe they don't have anything better to do. Afterall, parties get boring having attended one everyday ones whole life. You are now looking at how ABC balances itself.

I tend to agree with you presently that there was a 'Holocaust' years ago. Part of the 'logic' is probably to wait for most 'survivors' of it to die; and then assert the other non-survivor stuff is 'heresay evidence'.
