I’m of the belief that this might top the list for the single most stupid and annoying question in this solar system. However, maybe there is a logical explanation as to the source of this infection. I’ll throw some out; perhaps working together we can solve this mysterious affliction.

1. Radio never embraced the new decade since they continued to play Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Green Day everyday, every hour as if we were still in the 90’s.
2. People are lazier than ever and don’t bother to look unless it’s handed to them on a silver platter.
3. Once we get older, we become partial to the music of our relative youth. Therefore, nothing that comes out after could ever be better. I call it the generation effect.
4. Too many people are still busy crying over Guns N Roses. Time to move on, there ain’t nothing to see here.

Hey everyone,
I am heading out to Vegas next weekend and I cashed in my credit card reward points to stay at the Palace Station Hotel. (I didn't have enough points for higher end places) Has anyone ever stayed there before? What kind we find near there? I know that there is a shuttle...where does it drop you off? What is within walking distance from the shuttle drop-off?


This is my first time to Vegas and I am so excited!!!

I have many islamic friends and they tend to say stupid things like. "Islam means peace" and "Islamic terrorist is an oxymoron."

And while I don't think Islam on it's face is bad. The horrors that are carried out in the name of Allah go far beyond just a few people in the Islamic world.

Women (and by women I include little girls who should playing with their suzy bake ovens) fleeing a burning building are forced back inside for not wearing the proper, religious clothes. They of course died in the fire.

Women who commit the crime of adultry, are buried up to their necks and have stones thorwn at them until they die. while the people throwing shout "Allah Akbar" ie "God is Great"

A school teach names a teddy bear Mohammed at the request of at student and she is locked up in jail.

A danish artist draws a cartoon that has the image of Mohammed and the Islamic people riot.

I don't see how they can say Islam means peace mean while so many horrors are taken in Islam's name.

I really stupidly left a wet steel can sitting on the wooden countertop last night and I woke up this morning to find that it has left a dark semi circular stain. I scrubbed the stain to see if I could remove any of it, but all I've really done is make things worse. The small area I scrubbed now appears white compared to the rest of the surface because I've clearly removed the finish.

Does anyone have any advice on how to treat this? I've read some information about using mineral oil, but I want to know whether I would have to sand the whole surface and then oil it, or whether I can just oil this small patch and make it blend back in with the rest of the surface.

Any advice would be gratefully received. I'm really stressing out about it because I'm just renting here, and my flatmate, who owns the place is coming back on Sunday. I feel terrible for having ruined the countertop.

I have a relative in my family who has been charged with about 22 charges of police corruption - one of them involved planning a kidnap for exhortion.
Of course, they have been stood down in the force.
They havn't been sentenced as yet.
This is my concern.
My family treat this person normally as though he has done no wrong. Of course, I know we all do wrong, but I am very wary of him and feel as though he is a bad example of how an Officer in the force should be.
As a result, me and my family have distanced ourselves from him and we have been told that we are the bad guys and to just accept him and get on with life.
It's very hard knowing that he was involved in assisting a pedophille get off.
What do you think?
Do you think we should just carry on as normal and pretend he did no wrong?
