It's not wrong, it is what you are used to. But, if you are being made fun of and it bothers you, just call your mommy "mom" when your friends are around.

there is nothing wrong with calling your mother mommy if that is what you have always called her you may even call her mommy when you are 30. she is a very special person to you and you are just showing that.

Nope, it depends on the kid. There's nothing wrong with you calling your mother 'Mommy'. It's between you and your mom, so just ignore anyone who says differently. Not their business, is it?
My daughter went right from 'Mama' to 'Mom' before she was 2, so I never got to be 'Mommy' at all!

Omg im 20 and still call my mom "Mommy" and im about to be a mom myself! Whatever you say.. Mama, Mom, Mommy, Momma thats what she will be to you for the rest of your life, dont be ashamed, she loves you more than anyone in the world and their is only one mom for everyone!

There is nothing wrong with calling your mum mommy...I still do it...and I'm 26...its more of a personal thing really and depends on ones upbringing and how close they are to a parent...I say...go on!

Nope, no special age. You, the child, should pick the word that you like. Let your friends control your behavior and change the word or be independent and call her mommy. Up to you.
