Is defending your friend or girlfriend physically from verbal or physical abuse considered assault?

my 16 year old knocked-up step sister wants to marry the [supposed] father of her baby. he is over 18 and just joined the military. they are planning to get married right before christmas at the JOP. my step dad is signing the papers so in that perspective, it would be legal. but my friend who's husband in the military says they cant get married, by the military's standards. that he'd go to prison. her career husband and several others have told her the same thing. im half tempted to call some military office and ask. i know military men are not allowed to have sex with minors. but are they allowed to MARRY minors? (im really hoping NOT)

I just chanced upon this piece of similarity. Does anybody here feel that the words GAS and GUESS sound similiar when mouthed? I have heard them being pronounced similarly by a lot of people. Has that heppened to you?

It is a terrible side effect. Does it help to take the medication in the morning verses night? If I decide I want to get off of it... I do know that that will be a side effect. How long will it last?

So if I stay on.... is there anything I can do to decrease night sweats... If I go off, how long will I suffer from the withdrawal symptoms of night sweats?

Does anyone take antidepressants or antianxiety medication? If so please email me i need someone to talk to about this ... PLEASE? i have no one to discuss this with. I have been taking Cymbalta and its doing its job but i still have panic attacks from time to time. ok so basically my husband just got out of jail about 4 months ago, he was in for not completing his community service, and was sentenced 20 days but was let out after 2 weeks. so he got a 3 year probation, and suspended license until january 2008. anyways he had asked the judge for, (i think its called a wokers permet) which allows him to drive to work and back only, but the judge denied his request. so we couldnt just wait around till january for him to start driving legally again and i dont drive, we have 2 kids and one the way so money is a definate need and we are both only 20 yrs old so everthing in our lives is hard right now.

well to finally get to the point, my husband got pulled over for no reason at all and was charged for driving with suspended license, no registration, no insurance, stolen sticker,(which was not really stolen he bought it off of someone), and 2 misdumeaners. he has till january to appear in court, how long do u think they will sentence him, in CA?

I'm sorry, now it's called a "Fair Tax".

Do you honestly think adding a 20% sales tax to every purchase made wouldn't impact consumer spending? It would be the equivalent of having 20% inflation.

Most taxpayers wouldn't pay any less in real dollar amounts and lower income people would actually pay more because they spend a higher percentage of their incomes.

And don't say it won't matter because people will be "taking home their entire paycheck for a change". Most people are too foolish to think of their income in the long-term but everyone notices when prices on goods they buy every day go up across the board.

All this is doing is shifting a tax burden from households to businesses that provide goods and services.
