Spyware problem?

How do I get rid of my viruses? I've used Adaware 2007; it froze on me. I also have Spyware Doctor, but everytime I go to quarantine the discovered items, the computer restarts. Does anyone know how to get rid of viruses without this kind of hassle?

Well the two products you have listed are spyware scanners/removers (unless you have the antivirus version of Spyware Doctor) therefore they will not remove viruses from your pc. You need an antivirus to remove viruses from your pc. You can try the free ones like AVG, Avast, and Antivir and these will clean up the viruses on your computer. Only use one of these!
As far as the system shut down I would uninstall both antispyware programs, then reinstall them. This will ensure that your installations are not corrupted. To be totally honest with you, I am not sure what is causing the reboot (maybe the malware uses this as some sort of defense?!). Try doing these scans in safe mode and see what happens. If it is still rebooting, it could be some sort of hardware problem, im not completely sure.

Viruses are not Ad-Ware,you need a good anti-virus,anti-spyware and run Spybot Search and destroy for those pesky malware Bots.Most of the programs at the website have free trials if their not completely free but it tells you when you click on them and the downloads are spyware free.
