a) 246.94Hz, 220.00Hz, 261.63Hz, and H.

This is supposed to be a composer, but I don't know how.

b) 440.00Hz, 523.25Hz, and 659.26Hz

How are these three frequencies related?

I am trying to capture I/O's for devices like valves, pumps with and without vfd, motors with overload...things like that.

I also notice on previous projects from other engineers, the I/O's they had captured for pumps had 2in/out and analog 1in/out. I dont understand really why there would be 2 in/out for a pump. I know that an analog in/out would mean that they have something controlling the motor through a VFD.

So, if anyone can tell me how many I/O's for each devices I had mentioned above and describe the functional of each I/O, I would appreciate it.

Oh, and the system I'm working on is a CIP system (clean in place syst) and what the pump does it pumps water from a supply tank and is controlled by a VFD. Another pump is a return pump with out a VFD. We also have a motor in the system, that is an agitator triggered through a limit switch. So what I'm really looking for are the rule of thumb from experienced engineers when they try to capture I/O's of a system.

It's a magazine developed by some high school girl in Atlanta, and it was featured on Oprah a few years ago.
I wanted to give a gift subscription for Christmas, but it appears to be defunct.
Anyone know if it's still published?

This is an actual job application a 17 year old boy submitted at a McDonald's fast-food establishment in Florida... and they hired him because he was so honest and funny!

NAME: Greg Bulmash

SEX: Not yet. Still waiting for the right person.

DESIRED POSITION: Company's President or Vice President. But seriously, whatever's available. If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place.

DESIRED SALARY: $185,000 a year plus stock options and a Michael Ovitz style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle.

EDUCATION: Yes.

LAST POSITION HELD: Target for middle management hostility.

SALARY: Less than I'm worth.

MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT: My incredible collection of stolen pens and post-it notes.

REASON FOR LEAVING: It sucked.

HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK: Any.

PREFERRED HOURS: 1:30-3:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SKILLS?: Yes, but they're better suited to a more intimate environment.

MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER?: If I had one, would I be here?

DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS?: Of what?

DO YOU HAVE A CAR?: I think the more appropriate question here would be "Do you have a car that runs?"

HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION?: I may already be a winner of the Publishers Clearing house Sweepstakes.

DO YOU SMOKE?: On the job no, on my breaks yes.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS?: Living in the Bahamas with a fabulously wealthy dumb sexy blonde super model who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Actually, I'd like to be doing that now.

DO YOU CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE?: Yes. Absolutely.

I know the photos aren't great but yeah. I looked it up and decided it must be a bristle worm which sound scary! But it's so big I can't imagine they aren't MORE... plese tell me it's possible this was the only one.

But furthmore. I took the rock out and put it on the kitchen counter for removal of the worm.... when I saw millions of THESE (the long thing all the way to the right)
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f94/puredoller/100_1626.jpg

now I realize you can barely see this but we initially thought they were tiny worms until we saw one swimming in the bowl. my boyfriend said they looked like tiny shrimp and was wondering if Troy (our peppermint shimp) had reproduced alone... then I said HEY! That could be an amphipod!

Aren't they tiny shrimp like looking things?

The relationship E= (1.24 *10 ^3) / λ, where E is the energy of a photon in electron colds and λ is the wavelength in nanometres, is a handy form of the equation E = (h*c) / λ. Substitute E=(h*c) / λ and make any necessary unit conversions, to show that E= (1.24*10^3) / λ, is valid for nanometres and electron volts.

Basically, i have to solve for h*c.. i did that and i got:

hc= (6.63 * 10 ^-34 J/s) * (3.0 * 10^8 m/s)
= 1.989 * 10 ^ -25 J/m

I now need to convert that into nanometres and electron volts (eV).
1 nm = 1.0 * 10^9 m and 1eV = 1.60 * 10^ -19 J

I'm having difficulty...anyone know how to solve this?
