The very first anime that caught my attention on super hero strength was Dragon Ballz. Dragon Ballz is the reason I became more interested in anime. I really loved watching Dragon Ballz on channel 11 here in New York. I loved the fights between Goku and Vegeeta! They were the best! I loved when Vegeeta could not understand why Goku turned into Super Saiyan form before he did! Also, I liked Piccolo as well and the way Vegeeta call Goku "Kakarot!" Anime at it's best.

Ahem. Maybe I should elaborate, for those who don't know what I'm talking about.
"Anime" is the Japanese word for animation, or cartoon show. So, The Simpsons would be considered anime, only... maybe they would say American anime?
Toonami was (is?) a program within the Cartoon Network channel, on American t.v, that featured the popular shows at the time: Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Tenchi Muyo, Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin)...
I don't have cable/satellite now (for like 2 or 3 years), so I'm not up to date.

Pokemon. I became obsessive and then ventured into Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. After those obsessions began to wane (it took about 7 years, lol), I didn't watch any anime until last year. I then fell in love with Naruto, which led to Bleach, which led to Full Metal Alchemist...I watched Ouran High School Host Club, and more recently Death Note...and lots more!

Dragon Ball Z, but I didn't really like it all that much, the first anime I ever actually got into [aside from pokemon and the such] was InuYasha and FullMetal Alchemist. Those are still aweome. My friend decided she was going to make me addicted to anime right before 8th grade ended, adn what do you know, it worked! haha.
