How do I go about checking my kids' credit? They are too young to have done anything themselves, but I worry that my ex may have used their SS# and ruined their credits. Do I ask about it at their bank? Is there a charge?
I live in WA state, if that makes a difference.

I am planning to drive from Seattle to DC in late December in a '05 Camry. Should I go Seattle-Salt Lake City-DC on I-80 or go Seattle-LA-TN-DC ? I am mainly worried about getting snowed. I was looking and the southern route also has mountains upto about 7000 feet. Is this route bad during winter? Or is the Salt lake route even worse? Any other route suggestions are welcome. I have about 7-8 days to make the trip.

For the car (~35k miles right now), any special service required apart from oil change, tire rotation? I already have my 30k service done and have new tires with about 2k on them. Also, do I need to carry tire chains?

Sometimes when I chew I hear a crinkling noise in my ear - like it sounds like someone is crumbling tin foil or soemthing like that. It is only in one ear. By the way it doesnt hurt. One last thing, every once in a while I hear a high pitched ring in my ear - like someone hit one of the tuning forks. also doesnt hurt, but thought Id mention it

ok, the binding on my board for my backfoot will get loose at the screws ever once in a while. i have two theories why this might be. one the angle of my back foot isnt correct for my riding stance, and the second, not enough loc-tite on the screws. please help me!

I have alot of respect for teachers. I love to hear what my child who is 7 has to share with me when she gets home about what exciting things she's learned.
Although i think the teachers expect too much. I have to take my child to school everyday because we live to close for her to ride the bus so i'm stuck in the car for 30 minutes to drop her off then 40 minutes to pick her up while working 40 hrs a week at night so i can be home if my daughter gets sick at school so i can get her or any other reason. Well the teacher alwasy sends notes in her agaenda book telling me i have to read to her 20 minutes a nite every night my husband works a hard job in the day so he's tired when he gets home and concentrates more on making sure her homework is done and dninner is made and she's bathed before bed. i work til 12:30 at night and back up at 6:30 am to get her ready for school i'm soo tired i spend mornings washing her school clothes cleaning house before i go to work ...continued

i wonder if all the christians who are staging boycotts against the movie the golded compass, and going on national news networks to promote this boycott realize that they're generating more buzz for this movie than any of the previews. i remember seeing a trailer for this movie and just thinking it was just another kiddy flick that i had no interest in watching. i had no idea it was about promoting atheist until i heard some extreme christian group on fox news talking about how they were going to boycott the movie. now i want to watch it. it's actually becoming one of the most talked about movies of the year. way to go fundies. nothing like a boycott to give a movie some free publicity. if this movie should happen to become number one at the box office, will you be kicking yourselves?

i.e: a horizontal line has the formula of y= whatever number the line crosses when x=0, for example y= 3.

"Well, I do have a double room with one occupant," admitted the manager, "and I'm sure he would be glad to split the cost. But to tell you the truth, he snores so loudly that people in adjoining rooms have complained all week. I'm not sure it'd be worth it to you."

"No problem," the tired traveler assured him. "I'll take it."

The next morning John came down to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. The manager asked him how he survived.

"Never better." John said.

The manager was impressed. "No problem with the other guy snoring, then?"

"Nope. I shut him up in no time."

"How'd you manage that?"

"He was already in bed, snoring away. when I came in the room," John said. "I went over, gave him a kiss on the cheek, said, 'Good night, beautiful' and he sat up all night watching me."
