Marion will get a contract for about 15 million a year when he signs as a free agent.

I think he is a valuable asset to the Suns success. Not as valuable as Nash, obviously. He is good for 18 ppg. and 12 rpg. which is among the league's best.

I honestly don't know how successful he would be on another team not being led by Nash. You have to realize that the Suns play at a pace much faster than most teams in the NBA. At the pace they play, teams put up many more shots than they usually would, hence Marion gets more rebounds than he probably would elsewhere.

Unless you are the Suns, I wouldn't pay any more money for him than he is already making. He is getting older, and his stats are decreasing. I question his future abilitys.

I would pay him about 12 mil. He's overrated in all but his defense. He's not even that great of a one on one defender as some would say. He's a good help side defender. He cant score at all on his own, he's dribbling is weak, he only gets rebounds because no one else on that team can really rebound. his shot is very inconsistent, he scores mostly slashing through the lanes and off offensive rebounds. There's a reason why the suns don't have many set plays for him.

Shawn Marion is worth a Lamar Odom trade straight up.

The Suns overpaid him to keep him on a bad team.

I think his actual value on the Suns should be about 10-12 mill area.
