If a light bulb burns out but, the light switch is turned on does it still use electricity? I might be asking a really dumb question LOL but for some reason today when a light bulb blew out in my house I began to wonder. I didn't know the answer for sure but I am really curious and my mind has been churning trying to rationalize and come up with the answer. at first I thought no but then I thought well maybe. I researched and found the answer so now I am turning this into a poll to see just how many people actually know the correct answer. I made a huge mistake almost 2 years ago. I had fallen on hard times and I had gotten my electric shut off so I cashed some checks with someone else's name. I had to keep my babies warm and I wasn't making enough money at the job i was working. My kid's father decided to take off and smoke crack and left me alone with so many bills. i know I have made the mistake but I am not a bad person. I've never been in trouble before until now. How do they expect people not to keep commiting crimes when they can't even get a job. I will never do anything stupid again but what can i do without a job. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I was let go from a job years ago and I took it very personally since my personal integrity was questioned by my boss, who, in fact, was the screw up and I was her disposable little scapegoat - anyway. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

She, the director of a free clinic, didnt turn in a form to the United Way requesting annual funds for the free clinic - something that's done every year. Without that funding, the people who work there lose their jobs and all the people who cannot afford medical care would go without! And she blamed me for not telling her! Uh... make sense? Didn't think so...I handed in my resignation letter the day she told me I didn't need to come back.

my boyfriend has a 15 month old daughter which he has full custody over because she was taken away from the mother in the hospital. His daughter had drugs in her system when she was born and was immediately taken from the mother and went home with him (he was not in a relationship with the mother due to the drugs). After this the mother then signed over her rights to my boyrfriend. If me and my boyfriend were to get married and i wanted to adopt his daughter would the mother have any say so in me adopting the child since she signed rights over to him and also lost her through social services?

i installed the new Call Of Duty 4 pc game on my laptop, it installed ok, but when it came to playing it, it came up with the message saying: video card or driver doesn't accelerate transform & lighting - video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data, does this mean i need a new video card? or do i just need updates.
The video card is a: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family

Anyone in the house knows? Dr. gave this prescription to me but unfortunately i lost it and the hospital i went for check-up is 2 hours travel from my place, so i dont want to go back there just to give me the prescription again. Please any Gyno there?

I even lost the number of hospital (So Stupid, i know). I badly need it. All i just rember is that it starts with letter "C".

Not in the case where someone needs more time in a realationship, more in the sense of someone who is really really busy and doesn't have much time to himself. This is a pretty hard one for me and I would really appreciate your input. I've already thought of getting this person a PA, except they already have one...
