I do if I am alone but if I have my daughter with me I can't and I feel guilty, I will put it in the bay if I am parked close enough to it but I don't want to leave my little girl in the car because its hot!

I cant leave her in the trolley while I put the groceries in because one time I did that and the trolley rolled down a hill onto the road with my daughter inside it and an old man ran out and saved her and I will NEVER let that happen again.

I do, and the way I solved it when my daughters were little--when it was too hot in the car to leave them in-- is I would keep them in the cart with me while I unloaded my stuff into the car and then push the cart, with them still in it to the "bay" and return it and then take them out and walk back to the car with them and then all of us would get in the car. If it was cold out I would put them in the car first and then set the alarm while I pushed the cart to put it away then come back to the car, unlock it and get in. I also ALWAYS made it a point to park as close as I could get to the cart return so that I could do all of that as safely as possible.

I have to! I live in Europe, you have to stick a Euro in to get a shopping trolley and if you are finished, you connect it back in and get the Euro back. It is only one Euro but since they starting doing this (about 15 Year´s ago), it works perfect. Everybody brings back the Trolley, no car´s are getting hit and it just looks better. Btw. The Crocery Prices are much less then in the States, the Company´s are calculating lost, stolen or peopel who have to collect all the trolleys back together, on top of your food prices!

I always park close to a bay when shopping with my daughter. If I'm alone I walk the cart back into the store front.

Yes and no. I "fresh" shop every day if I am close to the bay I will put it back, if I'm parked too far away from the bay sometimes I don't bother.

Take your girl with you. You would be the first to complain if a trolley hit your car because someone had been as careless as you

It depends on how far away I am from the trolley bay.

I always return it.
Yes, you must be Australian since you said "Shopping Trolley" and not "Shopping Cart" so you're not American.
I live in Australia as well.

Yes, unless my pain levels are really high. Then I just leave it close to my car, but not in the way of someone else.

Well fair enough. I put mine back, because I would feel way too guilty leaving it someplace for somebody else to clean up...but hey, that's just me.
